My baby's 1st b'day

For Addyson's b'day we took her to the Zoo. Of course it was really hot but we managed to have some fun. She got to ride in her new car seat for the first time. She loved being able to see us and not just staring at the seat or the top of the car. She looks so grown up!!

On our way out we bought her a stuffed animal, she even chose it. She was hugging that thing tight.


After we got home we fed her and put her down and when she woke up from her nap she found one of her birthday gifts from us!! She loves her ball pit. We went and bought more balls too. ha






We decided we would give her a cake on her real birthday so here is a nice chocolate one she had fun with!!

Afterwards we brought her outside to another one of her gifts to clean her off a little. She had a blast.

All in all it was a wonderful day, our baby is now 1 !!! I can't wait to see what's in store for us this next year.

To our wonderful daughter Addyson Faith,

I never thought this day would come so quickly but here we are celebrating your 1st birthday Addyson. I sit here and try to hold the tears back because you are growing from a little baby to a toddler in what seems like days. One year ago they laid you on my chest and for the first time I looked into those beautiful blue eyes of yours and cried tears of joy because after 9 long months I was able to feel you in my arms, kiss your tiny fingers and know that you were ours. Nothing prepared us for this first year of parenthood, it has been exciting, crazy, wonderful and hard. You are such an amazing child, so full of energy, so loving, so happy and sooooo stubborn. LOL Stubborn is probably YOUR best quality if someone asked you! haha BUT WE LOVE IT.

There are some days that I feel like tearing my hair out but it's those precious moments that we share that make it all right in the world again. When you first wake up and I see your frazzled hair and big toothy smile it just melts my heart. When I run an errand or go to a movie or to my Bible Study it surprises me on how much I miss you even for such a short time. The best part is always coming home and seeing you giggle and give me a huge hug because you are just as glad to see me as I am to see you. You Addyson light up our life with unimaginable joy!!!! When we go to store and we got stopped 10 times because people either want to talk to you or comment on how adorable you are it makes me full of pride to call you my child.
Your daddy and I couldn't imagine life without you, not for one second of the day. We look back at the things we did before you were born and even though we can't do everything we want it doesn't matter, you are our life, our love and our joy. We wake up wanting to see your smile and hear your laugh, to hear you talk to us in your baby language.

These are some of the things we have enjoyed over the past year:

We love how you go "oh oh oh" when someone takes something away from you or when you see something you want and we don't let you get it.

We love how we can keep the hallway light off and know you won't be crawling down there because you don't like going in the hall when it's dark.

We even love when you are done with a toy or your pacifier or your drink and you just chunk it across the room in a moments notice. You can never expect when you will be bored with what you have.

We love seeing you walk across the room on your own, when you take off by yourself it makes us soo very proud of you.

Sometimes mommy loves it when you sleep with her and daddy. Even though you tend to take up most the bed or scoot as close as you can to either daddy or mommy, it's a great feeling to watch you sleep or to wake up to you right beside us.

I love how you always wake up between 6-7 every morning half crying half laughing and wanting to nurse right then and there. You always go right back to sleep after you eat and you will sleep until sometimes 9 or 10.

Even though we are exhausted at the end of the day we both love how energized you are. You never stop moving or exploring.

You love to eat everything and anything, you are like a bottomless pit. If we let you you would eat all day and night. HA

Those are just a few things that we love about you, there are so much more. The most important thing about you is that you make us all laugh and smile....every single day. We LOVE that about you, you are always laughing or making weird faces or doing funny things. You could frustrate me and then do something funny and it will make it all better, you are such a delight.

I could go on and on but just know Addyson that we have so much love for you and you have given us so much in just the year you have been with us. It's been one of the best years of our lives. We can't wait to see you grow up into the woman God wants you to be. We can't wait to learn more from you and to know that God gave us you because He knew what joy you would bring upon our lives.

New Hair

So I went and got a hair cut today!!! I was extremely shocked to see the end product but I really do like it. The guy that did my hair said it would be to my shoulders.......I am not really sure what shoulders he was talking about BUT it's not even close...ha.
For now I like it...I guess we will see what happens when I have to actually do it myself.


My hair actually looks red in this picture but it must be the light because it's really the color of the first picture.
It is cooler I must say and it will not take as long (I hope) so it's a big change but it will do.

Addyson's 1 Year Photo Session

Stephen was off today so we took Addyson to get her 1st year pictures taken. Here are just a few of the 77 that were taken. We ended up getting all the pictures on CD along with the ones we brought home. They are so cute and I am proud to say I have one of the cutest/happiest/sweetest babies in the world!!!!
