Well it's been 10 days and I'm back in the real of things. I know you missed me!
We had a wonderful week with the family.
To recap the week:
Got to Indiana about 9pm on Saturday night and spent the remainder of the evening at my Aunt and Uncle's house visiting with everyone.
My two Aunt's live in houses right beside each other, my Grandma lives about 7 minutes away from them and my Grandpa lives about 15 min away, so everyone is really close to each other.
Stephen and I stayed with my Aunt Dana and Uncle Randy and 4 cousins......and my Parents and brothers stayed with my Grandma.
Sunday we went to church and then went back to my Grandmas for lunch. Everyone met up at my Aunts again that night and we hung out there, playing games and eating.
Mom and I fought over who got to hold my Aunt's baby...he is the cutest sweetest baby ever. He only cries when he is hungry, tired, and get this wet..he hates to be wet. You lay him down on the changing pad and he starts laughing.....because he knows he is going to get free of the wet diaper. Almost three months and that kid is smart.
On Monday my Uncle made us breakfast and then I 'm totally lost at what we did that day. I think we hung around with the family, and met again for dinner that night. We had about 21 people every night for dinner...it was great...loud but great.
Tuesday we all drove up to Lake Michigan and climbed sand dunes and hung out by the beach. It was so pretty...I believe it was in the low 70's sunshine all day long. It was a wonderful day...I am going to post pictures later but these dunes looks so small when you were on the beach but when you were climbing them you needed all the energy you had just to get to the top. They were huge! Mom said we all looked like ants climbing up them...I am a little humiliated that all the little kids beat us adults to the top....but hey they have so much more energy then us right?
Wednesday all the ladies went to lunch together at this mexican restaurant....yummy yummy....my grandma had just gotten back from taking a test and she is cancer free! Praise the Lord! Stephen and my Uncle took all the little kids to Mcdonalds and shopping and then back to play basketball. Stephen was such a good babysitter! lol :) j/k Every single night all the kids and men played basketball and a game called washers.....and we ate A LOT!
Wednesday night we went to my Grandpa's for dinner and hung out there for a while...and that was about the time that the bug attached itself to me and began making me feel horrible inside out.
Thursday we slept in and went to the mall and shopped.....and then again met for dinner..i'm telling you we ate a lot!!!
Friday we went to this Amish flee market called Shipshawana....usually they have rows and rows of booths set up....but it wasn't open yet so it was more like Old town springs with all the little shops. It's always neat to see all the buggies and Amish folks.
Since it was our last night :( we ordered pizza and hung out with everyone...its always sad to leave when you have had such a fun week.
Saturday we left about 9:30 in the morning and got home on Sunday night about 5:00pm.
I was sick from Wednesday night to now....I'v never been more sicker in my life...and Stephen said he has never seen me sick since he has known me. I was miserable ...and I had to be in the car for 22 hours with this yucky bug.....so it was quite nice to be home again...even though I'm not all that well.....It's still better then being cooped up and sick. It's amazing how I can keep from being sick until I'm actually having fun and then wham I get slammed with it.
I just pray my poor husband isn't catching it....he said he wans't feeling good today....
So that was my week and now i'm back at work back to reality....it was a nice vacation and a nice time away..busy as always but busy with fun instead of work.
I'm ready for my next one...I'm thinking the beaches of Alabama in September...anyone with me there???
So there is my long post...hope you enjoyed the recap and I missed the good ole state of Tx.
I will say though that everything is so close by in South bend/Mishawaka....and freeways? You don't usually drive on those there....quite nice...and quiet...
But they talk wierd.....they call a vaccum a sweeper and a coke a pop....have to teach them to talk right! lol
Enjoy your day!!!
Good to be back!
