A fun filled week

Let's start out with a cute picture of Addyson, she matches her room!!! I can't believe she is going to be the big 1!!!

I was at the store one day and saw this cake book (beginner) and had a great idea to make Addyson's 1st b'day cake myself. So I got all the stuff to make from scratch and did a "test" cake last night...I'm not sure if it was a good idea at all. I know there are some things I need to do different so maybe it would work. Next time I'm not making homeade icing, that's for sure. You should of seen the messy kitchen...just picture powder suger all over the kitchen. Plus none of my bowls were that deep sooooo blending it was a fun story in itself. Here is my creation.

These are pictures of my Moon Flower that my neighbor gave me. Now she gave it to me as a little plant, I watered it and it grew to be this pretty! I'm not very good with plants so I pride myself in knowing that it bloomed because I took care of it!!! Whoo hoo

Oh and beside it are two sunflower plants, I need to plant those because I hear they get HUGE!

Happy Mothers Day!!!

This is my first Mother's Day with Addyson outside of the womb. I look back at a year ago and we were anxiously awaiting our daughters arrival. Even though I knew I was a mom even then it stijll didn't feel the same. And now a year later I sit back and look at our beautiful smart hiper active little girl and couldn't imagine not being a mommy to her. Being a mom is such an amazing feeling. Knowing that Addyson is mine and that I am mommy to her puts sunshine in my world. She has really been starting to hug me....she will just squeeze me tight, laugh and do it again. I LOVE it. When we go shopping and she is sitting in the cart she will reach out and grab me and put her head into my stomach and just squeeze as tight as she can with her little giggle. Oh wow, how can THAT not make you smile??? She used to stay with whoever she was with even when I held my arms out but I scored big the other day....mom had her and I started to walk out of the room and she started crying...I came back and held my arms out and she started her little giggle/fuss/laugh and lunged toward me....I took her in my arms and she hugged me tight. I looked at my mom and said "1 point for me oh yeah". It's always a joke that she wants others over me....it's just that she sees me all the time....ha that's what everyone tells me.
I can't explain all the emotion I have for Addyson but to sum it up, I love her so much..I look at her while she is sleeping and I just want to hold her tight, kiss her little cheek, rub her soft skin. Being a mommy is the most rewarding job in the world, sometimes it's all a little overwhelming but then Addyson breaks out in her contagious laugh and you can't help but laugh with her, even if she is tearing my house a part. Haha
I tell her to give me an eskimo kiss and she will put her face to mine and i will rub my nose against hers. She then laughs...I've NEVER heard a baby laugh as much as she does. Sometimes she will just be sitting in her car seat and will just laugh at no particular thing.
Ok so yes it's my first Mother's Day and it's been a good one...I love my family to pieces!!!!!!

Oh yes how could I forget the woman that birthed me, raised me and chased after me wherever I went...my mother.....with having 6 kids she is my inspiration!! I love you mom and all that you have done and am doing for us!!!!! Happy Mother's Day!!! There should be more days honoring mothers, they put up with a lot!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen we have a WALKER in the house!!!

This evening me, Stephen, Wade and Priscilla were watching PS I love you when Addyson started crawling into the kitchen. Stephen went to get her and just stood her up and said "go get mommy" well she walked all the way across the room to me, probably about 10-15 steps....we all just were amazed and started clapping and whooping and hollaring! So we paused the movie and started getting her to walk to everyone. We caught some on video and others escaped us, they were really good too. She was so excited that everyone was laughing and clapping for her. I called my neighbor and they came over just to see her walk, and she did. It is so crazy how one day she is scared the next day she is walking across the room. She does this thing where she falls back or forward because she "thinks" someone will catch her...she can go to a sitting position but she goes so fast she loses control. Here are a few videos capturing some of the moments from tonight. We are so excited! She is growing up sooo fast. What a day to remember. I hope they turn out okay.

Almost a year!

She now puts her hand to her ear and goes:

I love putting her hair up like that she was called Pebbles today

I did her toes last night, she moved so much it was extremely difficult

I found the big bear Stephen gave me and showed it to her and she LOVED him

She actually stood up on her own in front of the bear, then proceeded to fall over. lol

Pay backs are rough.....

I laugh when Addyson:

Knocks a whole cup of water all over the floor
Takes all the DVD/Video Games/CD's off the shelves and throws them all over the room
Bumps her head because she is crazy
Bites you and then laughs about it
Grabs everything in sight, going around and around the table trying to get it.
Crawls in the kitchen and takes the pans out of the cabinet in less than 5 seconds
Screams and jerks and strains herself when she is tired of being in her car seat
Pulls EVERYTHING off EVERY shelf she can get to
Crawls away from you when you are calling her
Breaks two of the most important keys on our laptop keyboard
Gets her head stuck between the couches because she is trying to get to something she can't get
Did I say gets in to EVERYTHING????


I laugh only because I know she will get it all paid back when she has kids and wants to pull her hair out because her child won't stop MOVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The poll

For those of you who would like to know the story of the poll, well here it is. One evening Stephen and I went to our friends apt..let's just call them Candace and Michael. We decided to play a good ole game of Cranium, with the two teams being Stephen and Michelle and Candace and Michael. Stephen and I are WAYYYY behind, only because we were being nice and letting them win...I know I know we are just too kind. Anyways back to the story, Stephen and I got this one card that said we each had to write on separate pieces of paper three things that went with the subject. After we wrote these items down we had to compare and get ONE answer to match....you heard me folks all we had to get was ONE, that's it, not all three but ONE. With me being the competitive self that I am I read the subject and though WE HAD THIS IN THE BAG!!! Stephen knows me so well that we will win this one. The subject: Name 3 comfort foods.
As Candace stands behind me watching AND AGREEING, I wrote
1) Ice Cream
2) Chocolate
3) Cookies
So here I sit with a HUGE smile on my face thinking Stephen HAD to get one.
I read his....get ready....
1) Mashed Potatoes
2)Mac and Cheese
3) Fried Chicken
I sat there STUNNED! I mean he thought we had it in the bag, he thought I would of chosen ALL THREE......so we all fought, and argued about what "comfort foods" really are.
Michael says he is going to google it.....Candace and I say "go for it, we are right just wait and see". Michael googles it and the first 3 finds come up as MAC AND CHEESE, MASHED POTATOES AND FRIED STEAK!!!!!
We couldn't believe it.....we still argued....or I still argued....we lost.....it was sad. So I made a bet that I could get more votes our of OUR idea of "comfort foods" and the boys would be the LOSERS!!!!
As you can tell.....the winner is.....ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally I can stand with dignity and proudly say I WAS RIGHT....

THE END

11 Months Old!!!

Wow, our little girl is 1 month away from being the big 1 year. I am just so surprised that she is already 11 months old, the last month before she turns 1. I hold mixed emotions, part of me wants my little baby back and part of me is excited to see her grow into the girl that God wants her to be. She is such a delight and just seems so happy all the time. Next month will be a year from when I gave birth and saw her for the first time. Sometimes when she is asleep I just look at her and all the love I feel for her comes pouring out. She is such a blessing. Ah sweet Addyson how we love you....

Her accomplishments so far:
-She has 7 teeth now! The top four and bottom 3, she is working on the 4th bottom one as we speak.
-She can clap when you say "yay Addyson" or "clap Addyson"
-She will hold her foot up in the air when I'm trying to put her socks or shoes on
-She can find her foot when asked
-She knows where the TV is in our room and knows exactly what button turns the TV off and on
-She knows which cabinet in the kitchen holds the pots and pans and will crawl to it as fast as she possibly can when you let her free.
-She is speedy gonzalas when it comees to crawling, she will NEVER stop.
-She will now walk beside you holding on to one of your hands and will stand for 10-30 seconds and has even taken 1-2 steps before she falls down.
-She barks like a dog when asked what a dog says
-She eats anything and everything I will give her

Things that make us go "OH NO!"
-She screeches when she doesn't get her way.
-When you take a toy away she puts her little mouth in an O and goes "OH OH" before she gets really sad and either throws a fit or cries.
-When she no longer wants to be in her high chair or car seat she stretches and screams and gets bright red and struggles trying to get out.
-When you tell her no and to come back to you she turns looks at you and laughs and then goes 0-90 in seconds.
-When you try to change her diaper she twist and turns and screaches and fights and cries....
-When we try to feed her she blows bubbles and nothing will get her to stop, she just laughs and laughs.

I got Stephen Rocket tickets for our anniversary and we three went last night. Here are some pictures of our big night. Addyson was a little reserved when we got there, there were so many people she just sat with her mouth open looking around. Before we could even get through the first quarter she was her little outgoing self and wanted to go everywhere. The spaces were very tight so it was a little difficult, but she LOVED it!!!! Anyways we couldn't get any pictures together there but we got one when we got home. Yes she has a little bit of a pink face, I went roller blading with a friend on Tuesday and she got some sun. She looks so cute though. I hope you all have a great weekend, my brother is coming in town this weekend from college!! Whoo hoo
Oh and a BIG thanks to my brother Joshua for the cute little Rockets outfit he bought Addyson!! She looked soo cute in it.

Something that made me smile today!

I so have to tell you what made my day today. One of my best friends sent me a link to Skypes and now I can talk to her all the way from Singapore!!!!!!!
It's a program that lets you talk through the computer and sounds like you are on speaker phone. I got to talk to her this evening!!!! When you haven't talked to your best friend in 3 months you tend to get a little excited of little things like this. :).

Abby, I miss you and am praying for you daily!!!

My baby is growing into a little girl

My brothers like to mess with Addyson's hair, its only then do I realize how much hair she actually has. She is adorable!! Growing up so fast!!!

For those that know me I love kids, I used to say I wanted 3-4 kids, Stephen wants 3 I wanted 4 so 4 it is. lol Anyways sometimes it gets on my nerves when people laugh at how many kids my parents have. 6 really isn't that big of number, I mean who would you get rid of if my mom only had 3-4???? all of my siblings hold a special place in my heart, we are all different which makes it for a fun time when we are together. I was looking at pictures from this past weekend and our family looks like a big crowd and if people were to just glance at us they would think we were just friends not siblings plus spouses/significant others. It's so much fun I will have to say. I am so proud of where they are all going in life and excited to see what God has in store for everyone in the coming years. With that said after I had Addyson I thought oh my gosh I do not want to go through this 3 more times. LOL But you see the finished product, the child that grew in your womb and then I look at my siblings and remember all the fun times and I wish that for Addyson, I wish for her to have many siblings to laugh with, fight with, cry with.....So if God wishes for us to have 4 or 5 or even 6 I'm okay with it. I love my family and it makes me want that for us......
Of course this must be agreed upon with the husband but those are my thoughts. If God gives me 2 I will be just as proud as if he gave me 5, its all in God's hands!!!!
Call me crazy if you wish, but that never stopped me from enjoying my HUGE family.

SAGU our 4th Anniversary

This past week was very busy! We had our Anniversary on Thursday and traveled to SAGU for my brother and his friends play, Arsonic and Lace. Everyone did such a great job. Saturday we drove up with Ryan, Elsa and Abby to visit Wade at his school. My sister and her husband met us and my mom, dad and two brothers came up later that day. We had a huge crowd and I have to say my family always keeps me laughing. Addyson did so well in the car and slept the whole time back. I think we got in close to 2am, it was an exhausting trip but a lot of fun. Here are some picture that my sister took.

Thank you for understanding my need to stay home, I can't wait for many more years and many more kids with you!!! Love you Stephen!
