Addyson and kitchen pictures

Here are some pictures of Addyson today. She likes to play with her dad's ear pieces. She will be a phone person for sure. The other day a friend was over and Addyson wanted her phone. So Abby gives her the phone and then Addyson takes it back to her and holds it up, Abby then takes the phone opens it up(it was a flip phone) and gives it to her...Addyson smiles and trotts away. Abby told me that she does that everytime she gives her the phone, she comes back and wants it opened. I had no idea that thats what happens..thought it was cute how Abby knew what Addyson wanted and Addyson didn't have to say one word. Anyways this was her being a stinker today...somedays she is in to EVERYTHING!

This is Addyson's 2nd official boo boo. She grabbed our kitchen chair and pulled it down. I saw it going down and didn't make it in time to stop it. I thought that it had just missed her but her poor foot bruised up right away. She is such a good sport though, cried for a little while and then went to sleep like a good girl.

Alright for our kitchen. Josh came over last week and decided that was the time that we were going to paint. We started around 5pm. If you know me I am one of those that does not like to tape, OR prep for painting. ha ha But we did it and painted the green. THEN Josh decided that we HAD to finish the whole thing so he told me we needed to do the other color. Of course I had no idea when he would be available as he is very popular these days so we kept going. I think it was 11:30 before I took him home and got to take a shower. We were pooped. I still need to fix some parts that got pulled off with the tape removal....and also the rounded corner will be painted tan but I wanted to make sure the green was dry enough so the tape wouldn't pull it off. The corners are no fun....ahhh Tell me what you think.

Oh and we HATE the light so we will be replacing it one da. haha

This picture is really hard to see but the green is the breakfast nook and comes to the door, then the tan starts where my counter starts. and wraps around to the wall on the left where the keys are

Of course you can see the mess ups but I will fix those. don't look at the mess either. I think this color good with my tile

Paint

I just bought paint for our kitchen. I brought in two towels and told him to please match the color. Now I'm nervous about doing it......Wish me luck!
Oh and the two colors are yellow and orange....

So, I would be lying if I told you we are doing good....
This has been so rough on all of us. There hasn't been a day when I haven't cried or thought about not being pregnant. Just saying it breaks my heart. I can't sleep sometimes because every time I close my eyes I see it all play out before my eyes again. It's been a roller coaster of emotions because one minute I'm good and the next I'm down again.
I realized today that I need to remember to keep Stephen lifted also, its just so hard on both of us.

Maybe one day we will be able to smile and really feel it inside out instead of smiling through a broken heart.

Prayer request

Hello Family and Friends,
Our little family is in need of your prayers. Marcus went Thursday the 3rd of July for what we thought was a routine colonoscopy. They found a polyp that is quite large (4cm) and will be removing it and up to 1/2 of his colon on Friday the 11th at 12:30 p.m. We have not gotten back the biopsy results yet but the doctor is pretty sure that it is cancer. If it has not broken through the wall of the colon he thinks he will be able to get it all but won't know until he gets in there. We know that colon cancer is very treatable if it is found in time and we have a lot of confidence in the surgeon, but we also know that prayer is a powerful force so we are asking that you pray for him (and me and Taylor) during this time. If you would pass this along to anyone you know that is a Godly person we would appreciate it. The more the better. We love you all,and thanks, Marcus, Ali and Taylor

Happy 4th of July!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!! We did, Addyson loved the fire works for a couple minutes and then she got bored. Yeah how do you get bored with all those loud noises and lights....leave it to my child. Ha Ha
We went to the crazy Woodlands to watch some beautiful fireworks, the weather was great, the company was wonderful, it was a nice evening. Here are some pictures of Addyson all dolled up. She was so cute in her little red, white and blue outfit. We must of had 20 people all in all stop us and tell us how cute she was. I love having such an entertaining child!!! Happy 4th!!!

Just another day....

I've been requested to write on my blog, now I expect the person that sent in this request to comment.....thats an order....you know who you are!!!

We had ants in our kitchen last week....I do believe they are almost gone but I still see a few from time to time. Oh how they are so annoying. Between those and the spiders we see I think I will go crazy. But for some reason June bugs don't really bother me.......

We have two more houses going up beside us......someone just came to look at one of them.....it looks like we might have 2 new neighbors by the end of the month. Then our street will be finished!! whoo hoo We actually like our neighbors...well a couple of them. We only really know 2 of them and they SEEM to like us...you never know though. LOL
One of my neighbors, we will call her L, goes walking with me and Addyson a couple evenings a week. Well we try to...sometimes we get distracted by fajitas and talking....but for the most part we TRY to just walk and talk. I can see us being the BEST of friends. :)

Addyson had a pretty diaper rash since yesterday...I took away some juice I started giving her so hopefully it will work. She woke up screaming from her nap yesterday, my poor baby.

Oh and my old boss/friend had her baby yesterday....her name is Rowan and she is so adorable, perfect in every way. I LOVE new babies.....well until you bring them home and you end up staying up all night long with them crying. NOT looking forward to that.....remember the neighbor above that I mentioned...I'm thinking she will come in GREAT for times like that. ha ha
And most importantly one of my BESTEST friends in the WHOLE wide world is coming back home from Singapore NEXT Wednesday!! She is coming home to stay and will be getting MARRIED during Labor day weekend!!!!! I'm so excited for her...the only thing left is for her to leave Dallas and move here...YEAH RIGHT!!!

BIG NEWS

Our child is a GENIUS!! What can I say she gets it from me!!
When you say "did you go potty" to Addyson she will grab her diaper. SO I thought well lets see if she really knows what that means. This morning when she woke up she hadn't gone a lot yet so I took her diaper off and sat her on the toilet (which she loves) and said "Ok Addyson go potty" She smiled, grunted and peed right there in the toilet. I of course cheered and let her flush it. I was soo proud. She WILL be potty trained by the time the baby is born. I'm so excited, I know I'm weird but I think it's going to be a fun time for us. She is so smart and loves being a big girl so we will see how this works. I don't want to discourage her especially if she wants to pee on the big potty. I love my big girl!!!

Oh and we put all her bottles up so now she drinks from sippy cups only!

I have such a beautiful daugther!

Oh how I could never imagine life without this little girl in our life. We are so blessed!!!

13 months old!

So my 13 month old got some new shoes yesterday, she got herself some crocks....or however you spell them. lol
She LOVES them, she will just walk around all day with them on and will look at them from time to time.



Addyson these are some of the things you love to do at 13 months.
You have figured out how to get off the couch by yourself
You have a love of the toilet and if we let you you will drop anything and everything in it (including your mom's phone)
You have started jabbering in a different voice, like you are trying to talk but no words are forming.
You call everything a "kitty".
You just found your belly button by yourself and will walk around with your shirt up playing with it.
You still love manderine oranges, you light up when we get the jar out.
Today you got out of mommy and daddy's bed while we were asleep and went in your room to pull the wipes out.
You know where your feet, hair and eyes are.
You are fascinated with anyones eye lashes.
When we ask if you went to the bathroom you will smile and grab your diaper...
You even tried to go to the bathroom when mommy stuck you on the pot. ( i think we have an early potty trainer in the house)
You give us kisses and wrap your hands around our neck and give us hugs, it's so wonderful.

You grow so much each month that goes by, I never really notice it until I look back on pictures. You are so beautiful

Just a little update

Yesterday I realized that Addyson is much of a mommy's little girl. I was trying to cook dinner last night and every time I got up to stir the food she would follow me in the kitchen after me. She would grab my legs and then get upset when I didn't pick her up. Oh my she was soo cranky last night, I think because she got up early and only took one nap and she was hungry. But all the same everywhere I went she followed after me jabbering and fussing and all I thought about was "what am I going to do with two of these?". LOL

Alright so I hate getting blood taken, I hate it with a passion. Since getting pregnant with Addyson it seems to of gotten a lot better because I found that I had a "lucky arm" that gave great blood and with such speed. Well yesterday I forgot which arm was my "lucky arm" and I started freaking out because I couldn't believe I couldn't remember. I point to the arm that I thought it was and right when she stuck me I realized I was wrong!!! I jerked and messed the needle up and the blood would not come so then I started panicking and things started going fuzzy and I started sweating profusely. I had to lay down because I thought I was going to pass out. It took a while but she finally got all the blood she needed and with a glass of water I was fine. That was horrible, Oh I don't think I will EVER forget which arm is my lucky arm. EVER!

The most exciting news EVER!!

I'm pleased to announce that my sister Kristen and her husband Dennis are expecting their first child!!!! This has been a long road for them as they have wanted to be parents for many years. But I believe that everything happens for a reason and God had a reason for them to wait. Now this family is going to be blessed with a special little person to love and raise. I can't wait for my sister to know what motherhood is like, I can't wait to see Dennis throw his little girl/boy up in the air and hear him/her squeal. I can't wait to see their lives be enhanced with this child. The road is not easy sometimes but worth every bump and turn. Congrats you guys and I'm so excited to be an Aunt and Addyson is excited to be a cousin and Stephen is excited to be an Uncle!! whooo hooo!!! We love you guys!!!
