Who is Smarter than a 5th Grader???

1 million dollar question:

"What one prime number is the only factor of 16?"

Dude I knew that right as I was reading it....I would of won 1 million dollars....the answer is 2...2 i say and he didn't even know it...nor did he try for it. Which I guess is good becuase he didn't know it, but still if I had gotten to that question I would of won a million dollars...I need to go on that show.

35 Weeks

Week 35: Hey! It IS getting cramped in here.
Fetal development in pregnancy week 35: fetus in eighth month Congratulations! You’re now carrying nearly 6 lbs of baby not counting their amniotic fluid, the umbilical cord, or the placenta itself. We’re impressed because that’s a LOT of work non-stop. Are you feeling proud of yourself yet? Well, get to it—you’ve done an amazing job! At this point, your little-grower is almost busting out of the womb size-wise, which make their restricted attempts to move much challenging. Of course, your stubborn little sucker is still trying to move around as if they weren’t in a cramped space. And the accumulationg baby fat deposits are starting to level off so your little butter ball will be padded and warm when they head out of their super snug little home.
5 more weeks, I still can't believe it, the time is almost upon us. We are going to have this precious baby girl in our arms in 5 weeks WOW! I think I have hit the whole uncomfortable stage though. My feet have started to swell and they feel like they are on fire sometimes. I can't hardly fit in my shoes sometimes and when I do I get home to take them off and my feet are horrible. My ribs are constantly in pain and it's hard to sit up or sit back or stand or anything. I'm always tired, I have cheated some and had caffeine, but right at this point I'm not really caring, I just need to be able to get through my 9 hour work day. So I really want Addyson to come the weekend after her due date though, i'm not really good with surprises. Ha I think my worry is she will come early and surprise us all...but I guess she will come when she is good and ready to come. :)
Not much else going on, I have my 36 week appointment next Thursday and thats where I see if their is starting to be any progress, I actually am looking forward to it in a wierd sort of way. Got to get it over with sometime.
Okay well I need to get to work so I hope you all have a fabulous day.
Oh yeah my husband has started blogging so if you get bored you can check his out. I don't know how to put in links but I'm sure you can see which one he is under my blogger friends.
Thanks for all your encouraging comments, its nice to be told you still look good at this point. Considering you don't feel it. Ha So thanks again!!! You guys rock.
Happy Hump Day
PS: we just got some beautiful flowers for admin day.....whoo hoo!! Gorgeous.

Baby Clothes

So today I have been washing Addyson's clothes and blankets and here are some pictures. Believe it or not they are in size piles so I know what to use first. She has a ton of stuff. :)

Some Pictures

Some pictures from the baby shower. I didn't like me in any of the others so I didn't put them on here :)

The toilet paper game, I only needed 11 1/2 squares! Whoo hoo

A close up, she put her name on the back of the quilt. :)

My mom made this quilt for Addyson, isn't it the cutest? She did such a great job

One of the outfits I thought was really really adorable. I can't wait to see her in it.

The baby shower cake, my friend's mom made it. She is also the one that made our wedding cake. She did such a great job.

34 Week Pictures

34 Week Belly picture

Only 6 Weeks Left

Clumsy me

Okay so I have a quite interesting, yet humilating story to share with you all.
I think that during pregnancy we lose our sense of perception or maybe our sense of balance, or maybe our mind, you take your pick. I choose to pick all three. I think I'm losing everything and I feel like 6 weeks is a long time without all three of those.

Yesterday I'm killing a little time, talking to the guys in IT and as I'm leaving the tip of my shoe catches on the box in the corner of the door. I twisted and turned, and twisted and turned....thinking one second I was going down, the next second that I was fine. Well before I knew it I was headed down and nothing was going to stop me, so I grabbed the first thing that was in view which was a file cabinet and it lessened my impact on the ground so I fell on my left leg and got a rug burn on my knee. I looked down the hallway and there was a employee coming my way, and of course I jumped up as fast as my big old body could get me up and told him I was fine. The IT guys were worried and then I looked down the other end and this other employee saw me and kept telling me to sit down. I was so fine, I only hurt my knee and was extremely humiliated, especially when the safety lady came out of her office and everyone was wondering what all the comotion was about...yes i was more than ever humilated.....
Now the people that saw me tease me about needing help down the hallway and so on and so forth. Hey I may be almost 8 months pregnant but i'm not incapable of anything.....being pregnant sucks every bit of energy and balance and mind out of you. I can't even think of words sometimes......yes baby girl you need to come out on time so that mommy can go back to being her normal self.
Oh and the safety director went into the IT office and asked what happened and told them to remove the boxes.....yes all my fault, if I had just been watching where I was going but then again I can't see anything below my tummy.....so what do they expect. :)
I was going to share something else with you but for some reason it has escaped my mind.....oh yes there it is.
I have to brag a little bit about my husband, I know I know it's sappy but I'm sappy and all so here it goes.
Yesterday he came home and started cleaning up the kitchen, and then he started with dinner even though he didn't even know how to make it....he was just trying to help in any way possible. After dinner he drove me to Walgreens to get some makeup and a card. At 8pm he got up from watching TV and cleaned the bathroom, washed all the dinner dishes, took care of the garbage, and cat litter box, picked up stuff around the apartment, and did all this without even asking me to help. He then catered to anything I needed, getting me water and so forth. I love him so much for all that he is putting up with. He knows how uncomfortable I am and how my back and ribs are constantly hurting and he never asks me for anything, he does it himself. It's so sweet :)
I'm still trying to find a way to get him to continue doing this once the baby is born...;)
Anyways I'll post some pictures of the baby shower and my belly this weekend. I get it in my head that I'm going to come home and do so much but only end up falling on the couch exhausted. Oh and by the way, I went to the Dr. and only gained 1 pound :) Everything looks good.

34 Weeks

Week 34: Upside-down baby!
Fetal development in pregnancy week 34:fetus in eighth month Your amazing baby is on the move! They’ve been riding fairly high in your stretched-out womb to this point (while kindly compressing your poor internal organs), but now they’re planning on making the big move to your pelvis this week. If you haven’t already, you’ll be noticing the weight shift that signals they are most likely out of breech position, with their head now resting on your pubic bone. In liver news: although not quite fully formed, your little miracle’s liver is now capable of processing a certain amount of waste. In general, most of your child’s prenatal physical development is pretty much up to snuff and ready for the outside world. Naturally, further weight gain is expected—so you’re still not at maximum capacity despite probably feeling like you definitely are maxed out.

So another week has gone by, whew it went by pretty fast. I can't take a picture today because I left my camera at my parents house. I should be getting it back tomorrow so maybe this weekend I'll take one. Sunday my mom, sister and mother-in law threw me a baby shower. We were so blessed by how much stuff we got for Addyson, I just love little girl clothes. It just amazes me how small she is going to be when she is born, even if it's for a short time. Anyways we had a lot of fun, and I'll get some pictures up later. I have a Dr. Apt tomorrow and then the next time it's going to be the fun one, but I think it will be interesting to see if I'm dialated or have any progress at all.
It's getting harder to sleep, worse indigestion, frequent visits to the restroom to find out that I didn't have to go very much, exhaustion, more stretching on both sides, ribs and back hurt all the time and I'm always hungry. How much better can it get?
I can't wait to see her face, it's all becoming so much more real.
Anyways I'm so tired and I need to check on dinner. I just wanted to update you all that things are going good considering I waddle like a duck. LOL
Hope you all had a great Hump Day!!!

33 Weeks

Week 33: Is it just me or is getting a little cramped in here?
Fetal development in pregnancy week 33: fetus in eighth month For all the weight and bulk you’re lugging around these days, you’d think your little champ should weigh much more than a mere 5 lbs and measly 17 inches in height, but nope, that’s about the average size for a baby in its thirty-third week. In terms of appearances, they’re getting cuter and pudgier every minute—just piling on the baby fat and those adorable little wrist rolls and chubby toes. And as we’re sure you’ve already noticed they’re getting stronger with every passing day. Nowadays, it’s possible to observe a well-placed kick just by watching your belly—but you already knew that didn’t you? Although they’re getting stronger, your bigger-by-the-day baby is losing space to move around, so the actual rate of movement will drop off in the last few weeks, despite that powerful drop-kick they’ve been working on. Did you know you’ll continue feeling their movements even during labor?

Only 7 weeks left/49 days, and boy are we counting. I'm so tired, really tired. I mean this is a great experience and all BUT I really want it to be over and for Addyson to be born. I know I'm just a complainer. The lack of sleep and the ribs that constantly hurt along with my back pain and my never ending grunts as I try to get comfortable at night are just really getting to me.
In better news, her hicups are getting stronger and my belly really moves, you can feel it from the outside. She is head down still so for that I'm excited, hopefully she won't turn any time soon or any time at all. I get more stretches and movement then kicks now, she probably is just really losing room. I'm praying for a small baby !!! She likes to move around all day long, it's pretty cool until she starts stretching her foot through my ribs, once I really thought I heard a pop, maybe they really are getting bruised. Ha
The time really seems to be flying none the less, its just amazing how 9 months is almost at an end, how nice that will be. I'm just excited, every day is one day closer to seeing our beautiful little girl. Get ready for LOTS of pictures because I can't wait to show her off. I wasn't too fond of her ultra sound pictures though this last time. BUT we get to see the real thing in 7 weeks or less. Whoo hoo.
Please pray for me, I'm getting worn out...:(
I hope you all have a fabulous week.

Happy Easter!!!

Here are the 32 week pictures!!

Ultra Sound

So our baby has a full head of hair, the question remains is it dark or blonde?????? I will post the pictures in the morning, but for now, she is around 4 lbs 9 oz and measuring for the due date of May 20th, but my doctor won't let me change it soooo we are still shooting for May 30th. I guess if we say she is due on the 20th then she may actually come on the 30th. She has chubby cheeks and cute feet. She opened her eyes and blinked and then opened and closed her mouth. It was SOO sweet.
I thought I would share this for all of you, I just loved watching her move around. The pictures aren't as good as I had hoped but oh well, we will see her in 8 weeks or less. Looks like I may be shooting out a big baby. LOL
I'm tired, been up since 4:30am.
nighty night

32 Weeks!!!

Week 32: Mommy, you're HOT!
Fetal development in pregnancy week 32: fetus in eighth month And in the latest developing reports, your amazing baby has now developed sensitivity to temperature! This means, you’ll probably get a swift kick if you put a hot pad on your ginormous belly. For the Elton John lovers out there: baby’s got blue eyes. At this point, all babies do, although depending on their chromosomal disposition, this could easily change after birth (or even between now and labor), but for the time being, blue it is. Thanks to their recently matured lungs and a remarkably strong immune system, over 90% of babies born in their 32nd week, survive premature births. So it’s pretty much a done deal. Even if your little monkey’s planning on heading out early, their survival odds are in everyone’s favor. Time to celebrate (no, no, wait until after the birth to crack open the champagne!) We’re talking baby-showers and alcohol-free punch!

My picture has changed whoo hoo!!

Here is the latest picture I have taken, not exactly 32 weeks but 2 days short of it. But we can call it my 32 week picture.

Today at 2 we go in for my LAST ultra sound, I'm so excited. Stephen is pumped to see how big she has gotten. I can tell by the pressure of her kicks and stretches but it will be nice to let HIM see what is inside of me. LOL

No I'm pretty excited myself. I'm not going back to work after it so I'll have to scan them in tomorrow and post them. I'm sure we will get some pretty good ones.

Alright well it's really early so I'm just going to post my belly and continue on tomorrow.
31 Weeks and 5 days (Wow, what a pooch)

Our 3rd Wedding Anniversary

Today is a very special day. 3 years ago today I married the love of my life. I sit here in wow that it's been 3 years. I guess it's true when they say "Time flies when you're having fun". Yeah time has not been all flowers and bubbles but it's been great nonetheless.

The funny thing is is that when we got married of course I had all those people come up to me after our honeymoon asking us when we were going to have kids. I thought that was somewhat of a personal question but you do what you can to get them to go away. I told them we wanted to wait about 3 years before we had any kids. You think that 3 years is a long time, enough time to get what you wanted to do out of the way before you have kids. You think that having kids will ruin your fun, and you will just be that boring mom and dad. Addyson hasn't been born yet but I think that all those things that you thought would be fun before kids just changes when you actually have them. I look at Stephen and laugh becuase 2 years ago he was scared to death of the thought of having kids. Now this man that I love deeply talks to our baby like she is right there in his arms. They have these conversations that I guess only daddy and daughter have. Don't get me wrong I love our baby girl and I know that I will love her so much more when I see her, but I think the bond between Stephen and her is amazing and the funny thing is she isn't even here, so if he is like this now then it's going to be trully the greatest thing watching him bond with her in 2 months. When you think of daddy and child bonding you think of son and dad, but I so see him bonding with her like she is the most precious being on earth. I think that has made me love him more, to know that he loves the person that is part of both of us with everything in him. That he will do anything to protect her. It's just crazy how your life changes when you are getting ready to have a child.

So taking me back to the greatest man in the world, it's been the best 3 years of my life. I've had Stephen there for me to cry on to laugh with and to just be myself around. I think he knows me more than anyone (other than God). He knows when to let me be mad and vent and he knows when I just need to laugh. He is my best friend and my loving and wonderful husband.

Stephen, Thanks for being there for me, and thanks for already being the best father, I can't wait to see what more God has in store for the THREE of us in the years to come.
Did you think after 3 years you would actually get me to start hanging my clothes up instead of leaving them draped over something???? Good because I didn't start within those three years I'm not starting now. LOL I love you forever and always.

Happy Anniversary!!!

31 Weeks

Week 31: Another day... another ounce
Fetal development in pregnancy week 31: fetus in seventh month Your not-so-little-one is just a bit closer to their birth weight and height now—at around 4 lbs and 17 inches in length. With each added layer of baby fat their skin starts to look more and more like it will when they finally get to see the light of day. The heavy news: you can expect little miracle-gro to gain about a half a pound of weight gained per week from now until about two weeks before birth. Great. That's just what you needed. Even more weight to carry around!
Your baby's still-developing immune system has gained substantial strength over the past few weeks getting them in full gear to face our disease-ridden world o’ wonders. Obviously, a large majority of your child’s immune strength will be derived from exposure to breast milk as well as the outside elements. Their cute little noggin’ (which could already be covered with luscious locks or just purty peach fuzz), is still soft because the skull bones have not yet fused together. As much as that sounds a little too vulnerable, their “skull softness” allows for a much smoother passage through the birth canal during labor—something both you and your little swimmer will appreciate when it’s finally time to “go!” Also, some babies will have that “soft spot” on their head for up to one year after birth.

It's probably about time that I blogged again. Tomorrow I will officially have only 2 months left to go. I can't believe I'm already 7 months pregnant. Sometimes time seem to fly and other times it seems to pass very slowly. The only part that gets me through this is knowing that I get to hold and smell and snuggle against my pretty little Addyson very soon. Right now she is kicking and moving and stretching and I LOVE that part. Yeah my ribs are tender and my back hurts, but feeling all these movements and seeing my belly move is one of the greatest things about being pregnant. Its so strange sometimes but others it's like a normal every day process. I'm going to miss having her with me 24 hours a day, as a part of me. But having her on the outside for us to mold and teach and love is going to be the greatest experience I have ever been through. I know technically I'm not a "mom" yet but I feel it. I feel it in the way I protect her with what I drink and what medicine I take. I protect her in the way of going to the Dr every couple weeks to make sure things are going fine. I protect her in making sure I don't do anything that might risk something harmful to her. In that sense I already feel like her momma. Some people think it's a fetus until birth BUT I know that's not true. I know that I have a little girl inside of me growing until she is ready to come out. I love her more than words can say. I see Stephen and how he acts right now, how he talks to her and loves her and how excited he is to meet her and it is just one of the happiest feelings i've ever had. We are going to be parents, God has given us this responsibility and I pray that I do it with the best that I can. She is our baby girl and we will protect her in every sense of that word.

My sweet baby daughter I can't wait to meet you and hold you and love you.

Here are my 31 week pictures Only 2 months to go!!! I thought I would be a little different, look how I have bloomed

Lunch

Lunch consisted of the following in this order:

Mini Ravioli's
Peach Yogurt
Some Tortilla chips
2 Peanut butter girl scout cookies

That is why I gained 5 pounds last Dr's visit.......

Dr. Apt Update

Gained 5 pounds (probably the girl scout cookies)

Measuring at 31 weeks instead of 30 (last time I was a week behind) Again the cookies are helping me out

Found out after making my last budget payment today that it was just an "estimate" and I owe more money even though I've already hit my out of pocket maximum plus almost 600 dollars more.....very depressing

Couldn't get a good appointment time in two weeks so I have to go at 2pm and that will be my 32 week Ultra sound.

Found out that my prognosis for my symptoms (back ache, rib ache, being tired all the time, and not sleeping) was that I was for sure "knocked up". LOL My doctor has a funny sense of humor.

That about sums it up, she says I was an easy patient.....she hasn't heard me complain throughout the week.

That's about it, i'm tired and I hope you have a wonderful week.

30 Weeks

Week 30: Goodbye monkey baby, hello roly poly!
Fetal development in pregnancy week 30:fetus in seventh month The light is visible at the end of the tunnel! Your oversized self and amazing growing baby have finally reached the single digits (in terms of weeks till birth)! The fine lanugo hair that has been growing all over their little monkey-like body is going to start falling off this week in preparation for the big day. But don’t be shocked if they’re hairier than you’d anticipated, some babies keep their lanugo until after birth. Still, it’s not any cause to be concerned as it will fall off eventually. No surprises here: your little porker is getting even cuter with increasingly pudgy arms and legs this week thanks to the ever-growing layers of subcutaneous fat. In terms of numbers, they’ll be weighing in at around 3 pounds 12 ounces (or more!) and are nearly 16 inches long.

Today marks 30 weeks, only 7 weeks until they say she can come out with no problems. Wow! I could have her in less than 10 weeks or more than 10 weeks, too bad they can't calculate by the day, now wouldn't that be nice.
Right now Addyson has the hiccups AND she is kicking me in the ribs. How sweet is that? I have this pulse like feeling where her head is and these jabs in my side, makes for a pretty wonderful day. LOL No I like feeling it because I know she is doing good and that makes me happy. Except for the bruised ribs.....:( Oh well. The good thing is is that she has been what I believe is heads down for quite some time, so hopefully she won't be moving any time soon. I'm sure she likes it down there. I don't think I could be on my head for such a long period but I guess babies can handle it.
The other night she was really going at it with the shoving and kicking, it was pretty awesome to see my stomach moving all over, kind of wierded me out though becuase it was like this person was trying to get out....and yeah being that this is my first, it's just odd, but neat at the same time.
That same night Stephen went to bed about 1:30 am and you know me I had already been asleep for roughly 4 hours. He came and he put his hand on my stomach and she was going at it again, but he said this time it was much more than she had earlier that evening. He said she kicked and moved and shoved and was doing all this stuff to make my stomach go a mile a minute and she did it all for the next 30 minutes. Funny thing is is that I NEVER even moved...LOL I was sleeping peacefully until my bladder woke me up 1.5 hours later. I guess that's good that I can sleep through that instead of being woken up for a long period of time. She is getting ready to keep her momma up all night long. :) Probably better then being so uncomfortable and hot all night long, I relish the day that I can sleep for atleast 4 hours without waking up and uncomfortable.
But it was neat hearing what Stephen had experienced while I was alseep, she must of known her daddy was there ;).
So I have a Dr. apt tomorrow morning, after this one I go every 2 weeks until 36 weeks. That will make time go by so much faster I think.
If i feel up to it later I'll get a belly shot....but if not I'll give you one next week.
30 weeks down and 10 more to go, this should be NO problem at all!!! LOL
Tums are my new best friend, even though they are so nasty, they help SOO much.
Oh and I don't feel so bad about the cookies, Stephen must of eaten half of every box last night.....so that makes it less that I can eat. :)

The coke and candy guy came in today, and gave me m & m's and a 3 muskateers bar......chocolate is SOO my friend.
Okay have a wonderful rest of the week, I'm ready for the weekend.

Oh and our 3 year anniversary is coming up in 1 week and 6 days, I can't believe 3 years has gone by already. Time does fly when you are having fun. :)

Cookies

I bought 4 boxes of girl scout cookies..........I got 1 lemon, 1 carmel delights, 1 peanut butter sandwich and 1 chocolate short bread cookies.
Technically if I did end up eating all the cookies I would only eat 3 boxes because I hate lemon......so I guess that makes it a little better. Plus I have helped the community in some way.

I'm going to be fat.........Bleh
