Some Pictures

Some pictures from the baby shower. I didn't like me in any of the others so I didn't put them on here :)

The toilet paper game, I only needed 11 1/2 squares! Whoo hoo

A close up, she put her name on the back of the quilt. :)

My mom made this quilt for Addyson, isn't it the cutest? She did such a great job

One of the outfits I thought was really really adorable. I can't wait to see her in it.

The baby shower cake, my friend's mom made it. She is also the one that made our wedding cake. She did such a great job.

34 Week Pictures

34 Week Belly picture

Only 6 Weeks Left

Clumsy me

Okay so I have a quite interesting, yet humilating story to share with you all.
I think that during pregnancy we lose our sense of perception or maybe our sense of balance, or maybe our mind, you take your pick. I choose to pick all three. I think I'm losing everything and I feel like 6 weeks is a long time without all three of those.

Yesterday I'm killing a little time, talking to the guys in IT and as I'm leaving the tip of my shoe catches on the box in the corner of the door. I twisted and turned, and twisted and turned....thinking one second I was going down, the next second that I was fine. Well before I knew it I was headed down and nothing was going to stop me, so I grabbed the first thing that was in view which was a file cabinet and it lessened my impact on the ground so I fell on my left leg and got a rug burn on my knee. I looked down the hallway and there was a employee coming my way, and of course I jumped up as fast as my big old body could get me up and told him I was fine. The IT guys were worried and then I looked down the other end and this other employee saw me and kept telling me to sit down. I was so fine, I only hurt my knee and was extremely humiliated, especially when the safety lady came out of her office and everyone was wondering what all the comotion was about...yes i was more than ever humilated.....
Now the people that saw me tease me about needing help down the hallway and so on and so forth. Hey I may be almost 8 months pregnant but i'm not incapable of anything.....being pregnant sucks every bit of energy and balance and mind out of you. I can't even think of words sometimes......yes baby girl you need to come out on time so that mommy can go back to being her normal self.
Oh and the safety director went into the IT office and asked what happened and told them to remove the boxes.....yes all my fault, if I had just been watching where I was going but then again I can't see anything below my tummy.....so what do they expect. :)
I was going to share something else with you but for some reason it has escaped my mind.....oh yes there it is.
I have to brag a little bit about my husband, I know I know it's sappy but I'm sappy and all so here it goes.
Yesterday he came home and started cleaning up the kitchen, and then he started with dinner even though he didn't even know how to make it....he was just trying to help in any way possible. After dinner he drove me to Walgreens to get some makeup and a card. At 8pm he got up from watching TV and cleaned the bathroom, washed all the dinner dishes, took care of the garbage, and cat litter box, picked up stuff around the apartment, and did all this without even asking me to help. He then catered to anything I needed, getting me water and so forth. I love him so much for all that he is putting up with. He knows how uncomfortable I am and how my back and ribs are constantly hurting and he never asks me for anything, he does it himself. It's so sweet :)
I'm still trying to find a way to get him to continue doing this once the baby is born...;)
Anyways I'll post some pictures of the baby shower and my belly this weekend. I get it in my head that I'm going to come home and do so much but only end up falling on the couch exhausted. Oh and by the way, I went to the Dr. and only gained 1 pound :) Everything looks good.

34 Weeks

Week 34: Upside-down baby!
Fetal development in pregnancy week 34:fetus in eighth month Your amazing baby is on the move! They’ve been riding fairly high in your stretched-out womb to this point (while kindly compressing your poor internal organs), but now they’re planning on making the big move to your pelvis this week. If you haven’t already, you’ll be noticing the weight shift that signals they are most likely out of breech position, with their head now resting on your pubic bone. In liver news: although not quite fully formed, your little miracle’s liver is now capable of processing a certain amount of waste. In general, most of your child’s prenatal physical development is pretty much up to snuff and ready for the outside world. Naturally, further weight gain is expected—so you’re still not at maximum capacity despite probably feeling like you definitely are maxed out.

So another week has gone by, whew it went by pretty fast. I can't take a picture today because I left my camera at my parents house. I should be getting it back tomorrow so maybe this weekend I'll take one. Sunday my mom, sister and mother-in law threw me a baby shower. We were so blessed by how much stuff we got for Addyson, I just love little girl clothes. It just amazes me how small she is going to be when she is born, even if it's for a short time. Anyways we had a lot of fun, and I'll get some pictures up later. I have a Dr. Apt tomorrow and then the next time it's going to be the fun one, but I think it will be interesting to see if I'm dialated or have any progress at all.
It's getting harder to sleep, worse indigestion, frequent visits to the restroom to find out that I didn't have to go very much, exhaustion, more stretching on both sides, ribs and back hurt all the time and I'm always hungry. How much better can it get?
I can't wait to see her face, it's all becoming so much more real.
Anyways I'm so tired and I need to check on dinner. I just wanted to update you all that things are going good considering I waddle like a duck. LOL
Hope you all had a great Hump Day!!!

33 Weeks

Week 33: Is it just me or is getting a little cramped in here?
Fetal development in pregnancy week 33: fetus in eighth month For all the weight and bulk you’re lugging around these days, you’d think your little champ should weigh much more than a mere 5 lbs and measly 17 inches in height, but nope, that’s about the average size for a baby in its thirty-third week. In terms of appearances, they’re getting cuter and pudgier every minute—just piling on the baby fat and those adorable little wrist rolls and chubby toes. And as we’re sure you’ve already noticed they’re getting stronger with every passing day. Nowadays, it’s possible to observe a well-placed kick just by watching your belly—but you already knew that didn’t you? Although they’re getting stronger, your bigger-by-the-day baby is losing space to move around, so the actual rate of movement will drop off in the last few weeks, despite that powerful drop-kick they’ve been working on. Did you know you’ll continue feeling their movements even during labor?

Only 7 weeks left/49 days, and boy are we counting. I'm so tired, really tired. I mean this is a great experience and all BUT I really want it to be over and for Addyson to be born. I know I'm just a complainer. The lack of sleep and the ribs that constantly hurt along with my back pain and my never ending grunts as I try to get comfortable at night are just really getting to me.
In better news, her hicups are getting stronger and my belly really moves, you can feel it from the outside. She is head down still so for that I'm excited, hopefully she won't turn any time soon or any time at all. I get more stretches and movement then kicks now, she probably is just really losing room. I'm praying for a small baby !!! She likes to move around all day long, it's pretty cool until she starts stretching her foot through my ribs, once I really thought I heard a pop, maybe they really are getting bruised. Ha
The time really seems to be flying none the less, its just amazing how 9 months is almost at an end, how nice that will be. I'm just excited, every day is one day closer to seeing our beautiful little girl. Get ready for LOTS of pictures because I can't wait to show her off. I wasn't too fond of her ultra sound pictures though this last time. BUT we get to see the real thing in 7 weeks or less. Whoo hoo.
Please pray for me, I'm getting worn out...:(
I hope you all have a fabulous week.

Here are the 32 week pictures!!

Ultra Sound

So our baby has a full head of hair, the question remains is it dark or blonde?????? I will post the pictures in the morning, but for now, she is around 4 lbs 9 oz and measuring for the due date of May 20th, but my doctor won't let me change it soooo we are still shooting for May 30th. I guess if we say she is due on the 20th then she may actually come on the 30th. She has chubby cheeks and cute feet. She opened her eyes and blinked and then opened and closed her mouth. It was SOO sweet.
I thought I would share this for all of you, I just loved watching her move around. The pictures aren't as good as I had hoped but oh well, we will see her in 8 weeks or less. Looks like I may be shooting out a big baby. LOL
I'm tired, been up since 4:30am.
nighty night

32 Weeks!!!

Week 32: Mommy, you're HOT!
Fetal development in pregnancy week 32: fetus in eighth month And in the latest developing reports, your amazing baby has now developed sensitivity to temperature! This means, you’ll probably get a swift kick if you put a hot pad on your ginormous belly. For the Elton John lovers out there: baby’s got blue eyes. At this point, all babies do, although depending on their chromosomal disposition, this could easily change after birth (or even between now and labor), but for the time being, blue it is. Thanks to their recently matured lungs and a remarkably strong immune system, over 90% of babies born in their 32nd week, survive premature births. So it’s pretty much a done deal. Even if your little monkey’s planning on heading out early, their survival odds are in everyone’s favor. Time to celebrate (no, no, wait until after the birth to crack open the champagne!) We’re talking baby-showers and alcohol-free punch!

My picture has changed whoo hoo!!

Here is the latest picture I have taken, not exactly 32 weeks but 2 days short of it. But we can call it my 32 week picture.

Today at 2 we go in for my LAST ultra sound, I'm so excited. Stephen is pumped to see how big she has gotten. I can tell by the pressure of her kicks and stretches but it will be nice to let HIM see what is inside of me. LOL

No I'm pretty excited myself. I'm not going back to work after it so I'll have to scan them in tomorrow and post them. I'm sure we will get some pretty good ones.

Alright well it's really early so I'm just going to post my belly and continue on tomorrow.
31 Weeks and 5 days (Wow, what a pooch)

Our 3rd Wedding Anniversary

Today is a very special day. 3 years ago today I married the love of my life. I sit here in wow that it's been 3 years. I guess it's true when they say "Time flies when you're having fun". Yeah time has not been all flowers and bubbles but it's been great nonetheless.

The funny thing is is that when we got married of course I had all those people come up to me after our honeymoon asking us when we were going to have kids. I thought that was somewhat of a personal question but you do what you can to get them to go away. I told them we wanted to wait about 3 years before we had any kids. You think that 3 years is a long time, enough time to get what you wanted to do out of the way before you have kids. You think that having kids will ruin your fun, and you will just be that boring mom and dad. Addyson hasn't been born yet but I think that all those things that you thought would be fun before kids just changes when you actually have them. I look at Stephen and laugh becuase 2 years ago he was scared to death of the thought of having kids. Now this man that I love deeply talks to our baby like she is right there in his arms. They have these conversations that I guess only daddy and daughter have. Don't get me wrong I love our baby girl and I know that I will love her so much more when I see her, but I think the bond between Stephen and her is amazing and the funny thing is she isn't even here, so if he is like this now then it's going to be trully the greatest thing watching him bond with her in 2 months. When you think of daddy and child bonding you think of son and dad, but I so see him bonding with her like she is the most precious being on earth. I think that has made me love him more, to know that he loves the person that is part of both of us with everything in him. That he will do anything to protect her. It's just crazy how your life changes when you are getting ready to have a child.

So taking me back to the greatest man in the world, it's been the best 3 years of my life. I've had Stephen there for me to cry on to laugh with and to just be myself around. I think he knows me more than anyone (other than God). He knows when to let me be mad and vent and he knows when I just need to laugh. He is my best friend and my loving and wonderful husband.

Stephen, Thanks for being there for me, and thanks for already being the best father, I can't wait to see what more God has in store for the THREE of us in the years to come.
Did you think after 3 years you would actually get me to start hanging my clothes up instead of leaving them draped over something???? Good because I didn't start within those three years I'm not starting now. LOL I love you forever and always.

Happy Anniversary!!!

31 Weeks

Week 31: Another day... another ounce
Fetal development in pregnancy week 31: fetus in seventh month Your not-so-little-one is just a bit closer to their birth weight and height now—at around 4 lbs and 17 inches in length. With each added layer of baby fat their skin starts to look more and more like it will when they finally get to see the light of day. The heavy news: you can expect little miracle-gro to gain about a half a pound of weight gained per week from now until about two weeks before birth. Great. That's just what you needed. Even more weight to carry around!
Your baby's still-developing immune system has gained substantial strength over the past few weeks getting them in full gear to face our disease-ridden world o’ wonders. Obviously, a large majority of your child’s immune strength will be derived from exposure to breast milk as well as the outside elements. Their cute little noggin’ (which could already be covered with luscious locks or just purty peach fuzz), is still soft because the skull bones have not yet fused together. As much as that sounds a little too vulnerable, their “skull softness” allows for a much smoother passage through the birth canal during labor—something both you and your little swimmer will appreciate when it’s finally time to “go!” Also, some babies will have that “soft spot” on their head for up to one year after birth.

It's probably about time that I blogged again. Tomorrow I will officially have only 2 months left to go. I can't believe I'm already 7 months pregnant. Sometimes time seem to fly and other times it seems to pass very slowly. The only part that gets me through this is knowing that I get to hold and smell and snuggle against my pretty little Addyson very soon. Right now she is kicking and moving and stretching and I LOVE that part. Yeah my ribs are tender and my back hurts, but feeling all these movements and seeing my belly move is one of the greatest things about being pregnant. Its so strange sometimes but others it's like a normal every day process. I'm going to miss having her with me 24 hours a day, as a part of me. But having her on the outside for us to mold and teach and love is going to be the greatest experience I have ever been through. I know technically I'm not a "mom" yet but I feel it. I feel it in the way I protect her with what I drink and what medicine I take. I protect her in the way of going to the Dr every couple weeks to make sure things are going fine. I protect her in making sure I don't do anything that might risk something harmful to her. In that sense I already feel like her momma. Some people think it's a fetus until birth BUT I know that's not true. I know that I have a little girl inside of me growing until she is ready to come out. I love her more than words can say. I see Stephen and how he acts right now, how he talks to her and loves her and how excited he is to meet her and it is just one of the happiest feelings i've ever had. We are going to be parents, God has given us this responsibility and I pray that I do it with the best that I can. She is our baby girl and we will protect her in every sense of that word.

My sweet baby daughter I can't wait to meet you and hold you and love you.

Here are my 31 week pictures Only 2 months to go!!! I thought I would be a little different, look how I have bloomed

Lunch

Lunch consisted of the following in this order:

Mini Ravioli's
Peach Yogurt
Some Tortilla chips
2 Peanut butter girl scout cookies

That is why I gained 5 pounds last Dr's visit.......

Dr. Apt Update

Gained 5 pounds (probably the girl scout cookies)

Measuring at 31 weeks instead of 30 (last time I was a week behind) Again the cookies are helping me out

Found out after making my last budget payment today that it was just an "estimate" and I owe more money even though I've already hit my out of pocket maximum plus almost 600 dollars more.....very depressing

Couldn't get a good appointment time in two weeks so I have to go at 2pm and that will be my 32 week Ultra sound.

Found out that my prognosis for my symptoms (back ache, rib ache, being tired all the time, and not sleeping) was that I was for sure "knocked up". LOL My doctor has a funny sense of humor.

That about sums it up, she says I was an easy patient.....she hasn't heard me complain throughout the week.

That's about it, i'm tired and I hope you have a wonderful week.

30 Weeks

Week 30: Goodbye monkey baby, hello roly poly!
Fetal development in pregnancy week 30:fetus in seventh month The light is visible at the end of the tunnel! Your oversized self and amazing growing baby have finally reached the single digits (in terms of weeks till birth)! The fine lanugo hair that has been growing all over their little monkey-like body is going to start falling off this week in preparation for the big day. But don’t be shocked if they’re hairier than you’d anticipated, some babies keep their lanugo until after birth. Still, it’s not any cause to be concerned as it will fall off eventually. No surprises here: your little porker is getting even cuter with increasingly pudgy arms and legs this week thanks to the ever-growing layers of subcutaneous fat. In terms of numbers, they’ll be weighing in at around 3 pounds 12 ounces (or more!) and are nearly 16 inches long.

Today marks 30 weeks, only 7 weeks until they say she can come out with no problems. Wow! I could have her in less than 10 weeks or more than 10 weeks, too bad they can't calculate by the day, now wouldn't that be nice.
Right now Addyson has the hiccups AND she is kicking me in the ribs. How sweet is that? I have this pulse like feeling where her head is and these jabs in my side, makes for a pretty wonderful day. LOL No I like feeling it because I know she is doing good and that makes me happy. Except for the bruised ribs.....:( Oh well. The good thing is is that she has been what I believe is heads down for quite some time, so hopefully she won't be moving any time soon. I'm sure she likes it down there. I don't think I could be on my head for such a long period but I guess babies can handle it.
The other night she was really going at it with the shoving and kicking, it was pretty awesome to see my stomach moving all over, kind of wierded me out though becuase it was like this person was trying to get out....and yeah being that this is my first, it's just odd, but neat at the same time.
That same night Stephen went to bed about 1:30 am and you know me I had already been asleep for roughly 4 hours. He came and he put his hand on my stomach and she was going at it again, but he said this time it was much more than she had earlier that evening. He said she kicked and moved and shoved and was doing all this stuff to make my stomach go a mile a minute and she did it all for the next 30 minutes. Funny thing is is that I NEVER even moved...LOL I was sleeping peacefully until my bladder woke me up 1.5 hours later. I guess that's good that I can sleep through that instead of being woken up for a long period of time. She is getting ready to keep her momma up all night long. :) Probably better then being so uncomfortable and hot all night long, I relish the day that I can sleep for atleast 4 hours without waking up and uncomfortable.
But it was neat hearing what Stephen had experienced while I was alseep, she must of known her daddy was there ;).
So I have a Dr. apt tomorrow morning, after this one I go every 2 weeks until 36 weeks. That will make time go by so much faster I think.
If i feel up to it later I'll get a belly shot....but if not I'll give you one next week.
30 weeks down and 10 more to go, this should be NO problem at all!!! LOL
Tums are my new best friend, even though they are so nasty, they help SOO much.
Oh and I don't feel so bad about the cookies, Stephen must of eaten half of every box last night.....so that makes it less that I can eat. :)

The coke and candy guy came in today, and gave me m & m's and a 3 muskateers bar......chocolate is SOO my friend.
Okay have a wonderful rest of the week, I'm ready for the weekend.

Oh and our 3 year anniversary is coming up in 1 week and 6 days, I can't believe 3 years has gone by already. Time does fly when you are having fun. :)

Cookies

I bought 4 boxes of girl scout cookies..........I got 1 lemon, 1 carmel delights, 1 peanut butter sandwich and 1 chocolate short bread cookies.
Technically if I did end up eating all the cookies I would only eat 3 boxes because I hate lemon......so I guess that makes it a little better. Plus I have helped the community in some way.

I'm going to be fat.........Bleh

Sanjaya Malakar

This kid needs to go home NOWWWWW!!!!!!!

29 Weeks

Week 29: To pee or not to pee...
Fetal development in pregnancy week 29: fetus in seventh month If you’ve been feeling butterflies moving around in your belly, it’s not just your run-of-the-mill pre-birth performance anxiety. No, it’s your amazing baby with a case of the hiccups: a fairly common occurrence at this point resulting from practicing breathing for their big birthday. In addition, to getting a round of butterfly-like hiccups, your little swimmer has arduously managed to accumulate enough baby fat to account for nearly 3.5% of their overall body weight. Yeah, compared to we adults, it’s not a lot, but when they’re little like that—it’s certainly a healthy (and warming) accomplishment in its way. Another fantastic accomplishment: your baby's spleen is now in charge of hematopoiesis—the 10 dollar name for the process involved in building up certain important blood components. Another fantastic-accomplishment: your little monkey has been peeing into their amniotic sac for a little while now (this is why potty training takes a while) and if you didn’t know, actually swallows it along with the rest of the amniotic fluid. Although the concept is nasty, their urine is sterile and as part of the amniotic fluid base, is replaced several times throughout the day. So if you didn’t know before, now you can tell people, that yes, you drank your own urine—you were still in the womb, but nonetheless you’ve been there.

29 weeks already, wow this past week seemed to fly. I can't wait to hit 30 weeks and know that I only have 10 left. Time is flying.
This week has been so hard to get out of bed. I'm not sure if it's the time change or the fact that I'm just getting more and more tired as the weeks go on. I'm so ready to have this baby. She has been having the hicups more and kicking and stretching more. We can't wait to be able to see the little foot or fist, that will be exciting. I'm sure it will be pretty soon if not sometime in the coming week. My ribs have been hurting so bad, especially at work when I'm trying to work. It's so hard to concentrate because of the pain. I think her foot is just pressed against my right side all day long. Between that and the back aches......whew it makes for a long day.
So they say that you need to start counting the kicks and moves every hour, and if they don't move10 times in one hour to call your Doctor. What if she is sleeping, she does that sometimes you know. Just another thing to get worried about. She seems to be doing fine, I think she is running out of room though becuase she doesn't seem to twist and turn like she used to. Just sort of stretches and kicks occasionally. I think she moved to, but I'm not sure where she is now. I just get different punches in different places. I do think her head is still mostly down becuase that's where the hicups are coming from. It's just a neat experience all the way around, except if I could go back I would ask the Lord to change it to 6 months or so because 9 months is an awefully long time to wait.
We are going to Rascal Flats tonight, I really enjoy their music, I just hope it doesn't rain. They say there is only a small chance so we should be good. I hope I can last that long! LOL
My brother is home from college for Spring Break but I've been so tired and working that I only got to see him on Friday night. But I'm sure he is enjoying sleeping in and all that jazz.
Okay well I need to wake up somehow, I can't wait til I can have my coffee again!!! You guys have a wonderful day. Sorry I don't have too much to update, nothing trully exciting is going on right now. Oh and here is another picture I took for 29 weeks, I really really despise it actually but I'm only putting it on here becuase you guys would want to see it. I just seem to be getting bigger and bigger every day. :)

Pictures

Okay lets take a vote. Do you guys want to see a belly picture every 2 weeks or every4 weeks?
I thought I would get my bloggers opinion since you would be the one to view these pictures.

PS: my pregnancy ticker changed again, I enjoy this one much more. :)

Just another day

Thank you everyone that said I looked small or cute. I wasn't facing you so you couldn't see how I've grown a mile on each side. That is why I kept the side view. LOL
Okay so they changed my ticker without me knowing about it, it's a little odd and I'm not sure if I like it or not. I was so excited to see the block move and now there is no block, how sad is that?
I'm hungry, my back hurts, my leg feels numb and my ribs hurt and I only have 6.5 hours left to work, it can't get any better than this. Did I mention that I have 11 weeks and 5 days left of this?????
So I had a dream last night that I had my beautiful daughter. I had these tight pains in my abdomen and it became labor and then whala she was here. I don't remember all of if though. Anyways she was 3 months old and she could turn over and scoot/crawl, I felt that my baby was a genius.....oh and she was ADORABLE!!!!!! I wish I could keep the image of her face but all I can remember is waking up and being in awe of how cute she was.
kay I must get back to work, or walk around before my back spases out. Have a good weekend!

28 Weeks

Week 28: Why, you look positively bovine!
Fetal development in pregnancy week 28:
fetus in seventh month You know how you’ve been feeling a bit like a barn with legs some days? Well, that feeling won’t subside before… well, you know, when you finally give birth. For the time being, you’ve got yourself a baby in the business of collecting fat and lots of it! In spite of the dubious joys of being a barn, this baby fat business is very serious and you’ve got to put up with it, because it’s going to keep your little porker warm and healthy after birth. Other good stuff from inside: their eyes are doing lots of blinking this week because they’re now able to respond to light and dark. Also, their industrious little bone marrow is now a major construction site for developing red blood cells, while their super-cute adrenal glands are actually producing androgen and estrogen—which will stimulate your hormones to begin milk production. Can you say, “Moo?”

Alright so we are now in our 28th week, another week closer to seeing our baby girl.
As we speak she is doing a number on my ribs, playing a musical instrument or something. I have finally figured out the way our baby is positioned. She is head down and feet up by my right ribs, kind of diagonal. She got the hiccups yesterday which was really neat, and it let me know exactly where her head was. She has been in this position for a month or so now. She kicks more and more every day. The other night Stephen and I were watching my tummy and she was doing a number in there....it was awesome, my belly was really taking off. I have yet to feel anything hard, like a foot (except for that one time) but i'm hoping that soon she will start showing me more. She is very energetic, it's really neat sometimes.
That's the upside, the downside is my ribs hurt especially when I sit, and my right hip spases out sometimes, i'm still pretty much really tired, and feel like i'm getting more and more tired as the days go by. But thinking about having this baby in 12 weeks makes me smile!! It's worth it, but it sure is hard in the process of cooking this baby. But I believe I wouldn't trade it for the world. When I get home tonight I'll add a belly picture to this email, so keep watching! You will be surprised how I have grown. Although I have gotten many people who have said I look really good for being 28 weeks, and that I'm more wide (how nice I know) and not that big around......oh well, I guess everyone grows differently.
Well you have a great day, and if you are interested belly pictures will follow. ha

New Outfit

Okay so we changed our mind because of the time of year Addyson will be born. So we are going with a cute little outfit we just bought today. It's so adorable. I'm not sure if you can see it clearly but it's a onsie with sleeper pants and a hat to match. She is going to look so cute in it.

Just a update

I'm such a horrible person, I'm drinking a Dr. Pepper, I know I know that's not good, but I couldn't resist..:(

Well this week was such a long week, oh my goodness I never thought Friday afternoon would get here. I'm so tired and ready to sleep in a little.

So Wednesday afternoon Stephen flew to Nashville, TN for a interview at Lifeway's corporate office. He had testing from 7:45-9:30 on Thursday and his interview was from 10-11. He then flew in around 5:30 that evening. He has been working really hard to get into the Manager in Training program and to get the chance to interview in Nashville was huge for him. He finds out if he was accepted within a week of having the interview. We both feel this is what God wants for us and so now is just the waiting time. Anyways I'm really proud of him since he has really been working toward this for a really long time. If he gets accepted then he will train for 2-3 months locally and then we could be moving. I'm really sad about that, but I'm excited to at the opportunity to be able to stay home with our daughter and maybe travel a little. It will be hard if we did move out of state but if that is the case thenI believe wherever we go that will be where God wants us and for that reason alone it will be alright.
So thats been what's been happening this week.....
Other than that it's been quite boring, just a long week.
I hope you all have a great weekend and you enjoy yourselves.

27 Weeks

Week 27: I'm a survivor, I'm gonna make it!
Fetal development in pregnancy week 27: fetus in seventh month Your not-so-tiny-anymore swimmer (2 pounds and about 14.5 inches long!) is slowly rotating in preparation to “head out.” Obviously, this doesn’t happen overnight, but when you start to feel an unfamiliar pressure on your cervix, you’ll know you’ve got a fully flipped baby locked and loaded for the countdown to their birthday! Even now, at the beginning of the third trimester, their little lungs are already capable of breathing air, while the pulmonary vascular system can provide sufficient gas exchange, and the central nervous system can generally regulate rhythmic breathing as well as their basal body temperature. For what it’s worth, at this point in a healthy pregnancy a premature child (with intensive care) could easily win on the show: “Survivor: The Early Years.”

Okay so it's so crazy to think I only have 13 weeks left of being pregnant, give or take a couple days. This past week has been so busy and tiring but thinking about how much time I have left, it's just insane. Somedays I just wish she would just be here, and others I'm glad she is still cooking because I have so much to do. She is a very active lately, extremely active and loves to kick her mommy in the ribs. I have sore ribs and when I sit for a long period of time it just seems unbearable. My hip also gives me trouble especially trying to get comfortable, but it will all be over before we know it so I'm going to stop complaining.
I went to the Doctor last week and things seem to be fine, gained more weight then I wanted but I guess when you had lost 6 pounds it's okay to gain some extra. More for the baby I guess. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA is what I say.
She said that my incision is doing something she was hoping it wouldn't do and that was get real thick and raised above the surface, which I hate but there is nothing I can do about it. She said that they could fix it if I had a C-Section BUT they can't go that high and the part that is really raised is by my belly button. Oh well no bikini's for me ever. I had that glucose test and I thought you couldn't go to the bathroom after you took it so I was literally dying by the time I got there, but then she said I could so I was very much relived. I haven't heard from them so I guess the policy is no news is good news. She said everything looked good so I'm not sure if they can get the results back that fast....I think the time that you spend most is the waiting time...bleh. I got my blood taken and the nurse was in a hurry because they don't calculate time right so she just stuck the needle in before my vain was ready and she almost had to take it out and do it again, but then the blood started coming out, I still have a bruise from last week, it hurt like crazy. Can I ask for a different lab person, I mean I am paying you to do a good job, or so I thought. Anyways I don't go back for another 4 weeks, well 3 weeks tomorrow so I have a little resting time. By then I will be 30 weeks, I can't believe that....CRAZY. I can't wait for my ultra sound at 32, I can't wait to see what she looks like now.
So the other night Stephen asked if the baby had been kicking much, and I said not much today, she has been a little quiet, so he gets down to my belly and starts talking to her.
"Hey Addyson, it's your daddy, kick mommy for daddy, come on baby girl kick mommy for daddy." So then she gave us a kick in the exact spot that Stephen was talking to. It was SUCH a touching moment. I would have to say she responds to his voice so much better then mine, can we say "daddy's girl?" It was sweet and Stephen was so proud of her at that time, she is going to be so special, I can't wait to see the bond between those two. Who knows if she is such a daddy's girl we may have to think about having another one soon after. LOL So I can get my turn.
Anyways between her kicks and movements it's been great, more real knowing that she is in there trying to get attention, ha.
Well 13 weeks left and I can feel the excitment just brewing!!!

Please pray for Stephen as he has an interview tomorrow morning, actually the whole process last from about 7:45am-12pm. I'll tell you more about it Thursday evening, but for now please keep him in your prayers, as this is an extremely important time for him.

One more thing, we are having work done on our water system here at work and there is no water and no toilets until atleast 10:30 today....maybe longer....they are bringing in Porta Cans....I don't use those things.....how can you do this to a pregnant woman?????????? Just wanted to throw that in.

26 Weeks

Week 26: Eye see YOU!

Fetal development in pregnancy week 26:fetus in sixth month At long last, your little swimmer can see the womb! Your miracle’s little eyelids have finally separated (they were fused closed previously) and they’re probably having their first moments of sight as you read this (or maybe it already happened while you were brushing your teeth or watching Oprah or something). In addition to seeing their little studio in your belly, they’ve recently acquired the ability to say “yes” and “no” in rudimentary sign language as they can now move their head back and forth. This is also the time where your little super star’s head hair is starting to grow! A cute little cowlick or two may be springing into position right now, getting ready for years of cute-but-stubborn bed-head. Also, their toenails have grown in and you little raisin continues to slowly pile up fat beneath their still-loose skin. Most importantly, brain tissue and neurons are all developing at a rapid pace, increasing their (genius-level?) brain activity and will continue to function at accelerated levels for the first seven to eight years of childhood!

Another week has gone by and I'm 1 week closer to meeting my little girl. Oh that sounds so wonderful right now.
She is our little acrobate that's for sure. She loves to kick and move and let us know she is in there. This morning my alarm went off, and I snoozed it, and then my second alarm went off and I snoozed it, by the time it went off for the 4 time, she was kicking me unmercifully. I think she was telling me to shut that annoying noise off and get up. LOL I got up and I'm assuming she went back to sleep. That's my girl.
She is back to kicking or punching not sure, she kicks on one side and then punches on the complete opposite side. Not sure what is up and what is down. Ha
She is close to my ribs though, and that somewhat hurts, especially when i'm at work sitting down. I think she wants to hurry up and come out to meet her mom and dad. I'm sure she is just as excited as we are. Actually she is probably annoyed by the poking and prodding and noise that all she is doing is telling us to shuttup.
I feel like every day I wake up my belly has protruded just a little more then the day before. It's heavy, and I feel like I could fall forward if I don't lean back enough. Not really but you get the point of it. It just never stops growing, I'm not exactly wanting to know what it looks like at 39 weeks, if I make it that long. My goal is 2 weeks early, but I doubt the baby has the same goals as me.
The countdown is still going on, 14 weeks and 98 days. Atleast we are under 100 days. That was an exciting thing for us.
An old friend of mine was due to have her baby last Friday BUT I haven't been able to get on Myspace so it's really bothering me. Hopefully Friday we will have our internet at home up and running, until then Myspace is off limits. :(
Okay well I need to get back to work, I just wanted to let you all know that I have 14 weeks left and I'm counting down every day. The excitement is growing every minute.
Oh we did get the Bassinet, changing table and crib. I bought it from a friends friend. The bassinet is beautifully white and frilly, I LOVE it. I'll have to post a picture soon.
Take care all you bloggers, and Melissa your baby is beautiful!!!!

A few weekend pictures

Here are two pictures from this weekend. Our internet is not working at home so I can't resize them all, but I was able to get these down a little. Our computer has the resizer on it, but I can't download it at work. Anyways I liked these pictures.
I hope everyone had a great weekend, it's back to the grinding board.

25 Weeks and counting down

Week 25: Turn it around... and around
Fetal development in pregnancy week 25:fetus in sixth month Your tiny grower’s physical proportions are evening out at this point and most of their remaining development will largely be weight gain and lots and lots of nervous system development. The good news is: if your child is born premature now they’ll be more likely to survive without too much trauma as their lungs began to produce “surfactant” last week, which means their tiny respiratory system is getting stronger with each passing day. Yes, now’s a good time for a minor sigh of relief and a quick pat on the back—all that hard work and conscientious living is really getting your child prepared for a healthy delivery. Keep up the fabulous work mama! This week they’ll be scootching slowly out of the old breech position and start rotating (already!) into a better position for exit during their birth. Their head and feet are slowly rotating so that the head is pointed down towards the birth canal. Time is short (or really long, depending on who you ask)—just (still!) 14 weeks left before you can go back to being a single-resident human.

Happy Valentines Day to those that celebrate it
Happy February 14th day for those that dont.
I personally don't really care for the holiday, I mean why should I want my husband to take one day out of the year to spend oodles of money on me when it should be done throughout the year (or whenever I want) LOL
Regardless we are going to go to dinner tonight, Stephen's brothers work at a restaurant and they will be giving us their discount, so I'm ALL for that. It will be nice to get out and enjoy dinner in a crowded place and hope that your server is not so busy with his other 10 customers to refill your lemonade. :) I'm so positive wouldn't you say?

Alright so I am 25 weeks today, oh my how time is going by. Only 15 weeks left. Back when I was less than 10 weeks in I saw people who were already 25 weeks and I thought "how lucky they are", but now I'm here and I wish to be 39 weeks and 5 days, like Melissa. BUT that can't be so I'm going to enjoy the last 15 weeks if I have to grit my teeth and repeat it over and over. You know how some people are just pro's at being pregnant??? Okay so I'm not so much of a pro. I'm tired and cranky and wish to see my little girl. I think 9 months of this is entirely way too long....I mean you find out your going to have this cute little baby and are told to wait, and for 9 WHOLE months, and for those that go over you may have to wait a couple more days or weeks. It's crazy, especially for those (me) that don't like to wait. I mean i'm the one that sets the microwave at 2 minutes and stops it at 30 seconds because I can't take it anymore....or sets the oven and just sticks the food in without pre heating....I'm telling you I have a bad case of impatience, and the Lord is certainly showing me that I can't control the time of this. Atleast I have a date to look forward to, I might just set it in my brain as June 7th, and maybe by then she will be born.
Anyways aside from complaining, this wonderful sweet little girl that is growing inside me has so many wonderful people just waiting for her to be born. She is kicking and moving and making me have to go pee every 10 minutes but that's alright, it's amazing to feel her move. Sometimes my belly jiggles, but then when you put your hand on it she stops, that little toot, already has a mind of her own. But I love her so much!!! She will be amazing and cute and wonderful and soft and sweet and she will smell so good. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH TIME!!!!!!

I have a big weekend planned with my girlfriends that are coming in town. Two are coming in and one is already here, so us 4 are going to go have some fun on Saturday, I can't wait. We haven't all been together in a long time, I think since my wedding in 2004. It's been too long.
Alright well I need to get to work, so I hope you all enjoy your day today however you celebrate it.

Happy V Day

Cute outfits

So I pulled all of the outits we have gotten for little Addyson and it just amazes me thinking about her wearing them. Oh i'm so excited. In a little over 3.5 months we will be dressing her in her little cute onsies.
Here is my favorite that my sister and her husband got us a couple weeks ago. It's a Valentine outfit that says "Picked with Love".
PS: Stephen felt the baby move again this morning!!!

Addyson's room

So what do you think? This is what we are doing the baby's room in.
Stephen picked out the theme.

24 weeks

Week 24: Breathe baby, breathe!
Fetal development in pregnancy week 24:fetus in sixth month This is another big week for your smaller-than-life magic growing baby! Just take a look at the checklist for this week: 1) ears—done; 2) fingernails—done; 3) (if you have a boy) testicles—taking their 3-4 day trip from the abdominal wall to the scrotum; and 4) lungs walls—secreting “surfactant”. What’s that? Well, surfactant is sort of what it sounds like: a surface-activated fat whose main purpose is to assist the air sacs (their little lungs) during inflation (as in: filling with air, not getting more expensive). Just in case you’re curious, your submerged baby is still breathing in amniotic fluid, preparing and rehearsing the lungs an oxygen-filled life outside the womb. By the end of this week, your child is around 2 lbs and 14 inches long—perhaps a little more plump, but isn't anywhere near their full baby-fatted cute-self. Most of the cutesy “filling out” is coming up in that long awaited (and slightly dreaded?) third trimester. Woo-hoo! Get ready!

Well I thought I would blog before I got anymore work done because well I just don't feel like working. There is no other excuse other than that. I'm waiting for the day when I can sleep in an extra hour instead of Stephen being all cozy while I have to get up at 5:45.....it just stinks.
Today I am 24 weeks along or 6 months if you go by weekly months...but my mom gets confused so i'm just going to say i'm 24 weeks, but it's nice to hit another milestone.
Today as I was driving to work Addyson kept kicking my bladder, yes I know it sounds funny but it's not really when you feel like you need to run to the bathroom but can't because you are DRIVING! I think she enjoys doing that just to see what her mommy will do. The guy that offices right outside the bathroom must think there is something wrong with me....it doesn't help that I drink ALOT of water throughout the day. Hey just bring me my computer and paperwork and I might as well office from the bathroom, it would make it easier then to have to get up every 20 minutes and run down there before I accidently explode.
Last night I was cranky, not sure why I just was, a lot of things start going through your head especially when you know you have less than 4 months left and then you have this huge responsibility to take care of, and all the money that goes with it. Let me tell you sometimes 9 months doesn't seem long enough and sometimes it seems like eternity.
Okay so today I wore a shirt I have never worn, I was blessed by a friend I know who let me borrow a lot of her pregnancy clothes, and so I don't think I will have to buy anything, unless it's shorts of course. So about this shirt, it makes me look really pregnant, now you have to understand I wore a t-shirt on Saturday and mom said I didn't look very pregnant and today I feel like a fat pig (okay okay i know i'm pregnant) anyways it's hard getting bigger....you look in the mirror one day and it's like WHOAAA where in the heck did THAT come from. I still would like to round out a little but I'm sure that time will come.....stupid surgery.
Okay enough complaining....it's a great day and it's hump day so that means only 2 more days until the weekend, which I can't WAIT for.
Addyson still kicks but it's not that much stronger than it usually is. Last night before bed she kicked me and my stomach moved but then I called Stephen over and she didn't kick anymore. I think she can pick up on her mommy's mood. I've been so tired lately. Is that normal? I'm only 24 weeks and I feel like a zombie sometimes. I go to bed a little after 9 and get up at 5:45 every morning....and I still feel like I need MORE sleep. Am I getting too much, or is it the getting up before sunrise every morning? What do I need to do to feel better????? I toss and turn a lot during the night so it's hard to feel like I get a good nights sleep. Sleep oh the wonderful world of sleep, so I think Addyson sleeps a lot too, or feels tired like me. I can't wait for her to get a little bigger and see her little foot hit my stomach.
I'm praying this week is a much better week for me, I need some energy. I need to not work all day. :) Sorry if I sound a little grumpy, it's been a long one.
In other news our camera that we ordered on the 21st has decided to not be shipped due to being on backorder. I'm really mad because they didn't email or call or anything, I had to call them and find out why it didn't ship. So I'm hoping that it will be here sometime next week, or else I'm calling and getting another one for the same price or else, don't mess with a pregnant woman and her camera.
Please pray for my mother-in-law she is going through a procedure today and she is really nervous about it. We are believing that everything will be okay, she just needs some peace in this time.
Okay it's time to get back to work, I hope you all have a marvelous hump day.
PS: Our baby is getting her fat!!! :)

Wonderful News!!!

Last night right before Stephen and I were going to sleep Stephen put his hand on my belly and told our little girl goodnight and that he loved her. So for a few minutes he kept his hand there hoping to feel some movement. Well all of a sudden she kicked and my belly must of shaken pretty good because Stephen got a great feel of her doing this. It was awesome, he finally for the first time felt our baby girl kick. She must of known he was there waiting becuase she did it a couple more times, not as hard but hard enough for Stephen to feel the jolt and me to feel that she is getting stronger. I think she was telling her daddy that she loved him and good night because after those few she decided it was her bed time too. It just amazes me everyday that I have this baby inside of me getting bigger and bigger. I think about my bad week and I tell myself that even through all those bad nasty weeks I'm truly blessed. Sometimes we don't have everything we want but when God says He provide He doesn't mean that we will get the fancy car or the big house or the nice big income job. Everything has a price, you just have to choose what's important to you. He is providing for us and I believe He always will.
I have this blessing inside of me that keeps growing and moving and I love her more than the day is long. I have a wonderful husband who's eyes light up everytime he thinks or speaks about his little girl. It makes me very emotional because if you knew Stephen it takes a lot to make him really excited, and to see his reactions to movement and looking at his baby girl's clothes that she will wear in a couple months it's just more than I can handle sometimes. The best thing is going to be when I see him hold her and see her for the first time....he is going to be a wonderful daddy.
