I don't wanna grow up

This week has been one of the busiest weeks of my life. Everybody wants and needs something from me. I'm probably just antsy about getting to go on vacation. The closer it gets the more frustrated I get at people and the PHONES!
It's been good though because the time has gone by so fast and since I'v worked so many extra hours this week its nice to have that time filled in with something constructive to do. Oh to be grown up....

I get to go home when I get off at 5:30 and finish packing. Before that I have to go get my registration sticker from Kroger for my car....it is expiring tomorrow....and I have yet to do that. I'm telling you this has been one busy week. No time for anything.
Tomorrow I go into work from 7:30-12:20 and then I'm outa here til April 11th.
We have so many things planned when we get up there...but I'm even looking forward to the trip up there. Sometimes you just need time with family and I'm excited about that.

Well if I don't get to post before I leave I hope you all have a fabulous week and pray that the weather in Indiana is semi warm...and not to cold for us...especially since I'm getting used to this warm weather.

God Bless and have a fun week!

Here I am...

I'm sure everyone is wondering where I am at. It's been a crazy weekend plus start of the new week. I had off on Friday and that was soooo wonderful. Stephen and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary since we are not going to be here for our official one.
Stephen took the weekend off with me and we had Friday, Saturday and Sunday off together, which is a miracle becuase normally we are lucky to have Saturday off together.

Friday we went and saw Pacifier, which was so cute, and then we went shopping and that night we went to Salt Grass for dinner and then we spent the night at the Marriott in the Woodlands, I love that place. Saturday we got up and had breakfast at the hotel and then took the rest of the day to relax and do nothing. Dennis and Kristen came over Saturday evening and we watched a movie and hung out, so that was fun.

On Sunday we spent Easter with Stephen's parents and went to church with them and then out to eat afterwards. Visited a little and then went home and took a 2 hour nap....it was so nice...I don't rememeber the time that I actually got to take a nap on a Sunday. It's been a while.

And then the week began! Oh how the weekends go by so fast....BUT this is a good week because we leave for Indiana on Friday around 1 or so. So after today I only have 2 in a half days to work. I work on Friday but am leaving at 12:30 and running to my parents and we are leaving. I am soooo excited...I really need a vacation and to get away from here. But I hear it is very cold there....and here we are with warm weather. We went shopping this weekend and I was trying to find some long sleeved shirts to get to take with me, but there were none to be found....everyone had their spring/summer clothes out....so I guess I will have to get some warm clothes up there, i'm sure they aren't putting there shorts out yet. LOL! so I'm very pumped and cannot wait we always have so much fun....:) I'm not looking forward to the long drive, BUT i'm glad I'm not driving....now that was a long trip last year.

Well I hope that all is having a great week so far...I have to find things to do to make this day go by faster
..today is Candace's 20th b'day!
Happy birthday girl!

Last day of work

This is the last day of the work week for us, I'm so very excited. When I leave here at 5:30 I won't have to be back until Monday morning. 3 whole days how great is that? This is going to be a wonderful weekend on top of that.
Since we are going to be out of town for our anniversary Stephen and I are planning on celebrating it this weekend. We are going to spend the night at the Marriot in the Woodlands. We stayed there on our wedding night so Stephen decided it would be nice to go back there on our 1st Anniversary. I'm so excited, we are going take in a nice restaurant and spend the weekend alone. It's going to be great. I can't believe it's been almost a year. God has been so good to us and I am excited to see what He is planning for our future. Many more anniversaries to come!
So yeah we are going to be gone for over a week....last year after Stephen and I got back from our trip to Indiana to visit family my parents decided to take a trip up there this year. Since we had so much fun and since my Aunt just had her baby, Stephen and I decided to join them in their travel. Sooo we are leaving on the 1st which is next Friday, and we won't be back until the 10th. It will be so great to get away from here and be somewhere different. I like different...I would love to travel....but this will have to do for now. But I am sooo pumped about this trip because I won't have to work and that will be wonderful...not having a schedule...it's got to be the greatest thing ever. Yah for vacations.

So nothing new going on...just soooo ready for this work week to be over, I need a break....I feel like the stress is taking over.........and I have to get away from it.

Tis a short week

It's been a while I know...This weekend was so wonderful..I did absolutely nothing. It was great. I felt like I didn't get ANYTHING done...and in truth I really didn't. But it's nice to sit back and relax once in a while.
Friday night we met up with some friends from College Station and had dinner. They have a almost 2 year old who is sooo smart. I think the most entertainment was just sitting back watching him put on a show for us. They do that you know, they know you are watching them and laughing and so they continue doing funny things. I do believe babies are smarter then anyone ever imagines.
Saturday Stephen had to work so I just took it slow and met him for lunch and then came home and did nothing. I had cleaned up the night before so that left really nothing for me to do. So I watched a couple of Lifetime movies...lol, those always keep me occupied. I was just extremely tired over the weekend...its been these crazy non stop weeks.
Sunday we just spent time with my sister and her husband and ate and played some games. Have you ever played Mad Gabs? We got that game over the weekend and it is one of the most hilarious games I have ever played. There is this card that has these words on it, and you have to say it really fast and figure out what the word really says. It's hard to explain without showing you a card...but the funny part on this game is that when the other team is saying the words outloud you can actually hear them say what the answer is on the card but they don't know because they are still trying to piece the words together. It's quite amusing if I do say so myself. So we had plenty of fun playing that one.
I had this interview about 2 weeks ago for this Administrative Position but just found out today that some other lady got it. I'm okay with it because I was expecting her to get it...but still it would be nice to finally get off these phones and do something that makes me feel like I'm actually doing something. Oh well in God's timing.
This week is going to be a short one...we are closed on Friday so that leaves 2 more days. I'm so thrilled to be having friday off.....a day thats not actually on the weekend...how nice.
Tonight I work at Lifeway and tomorrow and Thursday I work 7:30-5:30...so hopefully this week will be going by extra fast. :)
Alright well I'm going to find something constructive to do....have a great day!

Another great idea!

Okay so that picture was one that we took at a wedding last year. I saw it and since I think that posting pictures is so much fun I decided to stick it on here. I'm hoping to post a picture of us all at the rodeo last night. That is if my brothers will send it to me.

Yes the rodeo, lets see the first part was extremely boring...but I already told you guys that it would be. Montgomery Gentry were cool except for the fact that I couldn't hear the words very well. The sound was totally off and it didn't sound too good. Other then that it was fun...we got there about 7pm....we had some really good seats (Thanks Wade) so it was pretty much a good night. But I'm done with the rodeo this year...and maybe next year...lol

I know I probably sound really boring...but I'm really fun actually...well I think so...its just that some things don't keep my attention. I'm the kinda person that if there is a large crowd around I just want to look around and watch everyone and see what everyone is doing...and then my head starts to spin because there are so many conversations going on around me, and so many people and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and thats about the time I go insane. Other then that I'm pretty normal.

I have about 3.5 hours until the weekend is all mine. No work until Monday. I pray it goes by slllooowwwllllyyyy.....maybe so? We are getting together with some friends from College Station tonight. They are coming over to visit...them and their little son. I can't say baby anymore because he is close to being 2. So we are going to enjoy the company tonight and have a nice evening.
I had an interesting conversation yesterday with the Human Resource Director. I told her I believed I should start getting commission instead of a regular set pay....and she asked me commission for what...and I said I should get $1 for every phone call that comes in..and we are now at 475. She left for a min and came back and I was like "we are up to 490 now" Wow now that would be awesome. What do you think? You think I deserve that??? I mean every customer does have a question I have to answer so therefore I should get paid for every customer or client that calls in....oh wait I should get a dollar for every courier slip I sign...hm...another wonderful thought...

have a great weekend!

Jon, Michelle, Stephen and Matthew Posted by Hello

This Just In

Today is the very first day that we officially own one of our two cars! Yes thats correct we just put the very last payment on Stephen's Honda Accord. This is a huge blessing for us and such a great feeling to know we have one car done with. I just pray that nothing goes wrong with it until we get a few more things taken care of. God is good! We put together this budget and goal at the beginning of the year and its actually falling into place. It's amazing how much you don't mind sacrificing in order to accomplish something important. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways.

Tonight we go to the rodeo. My brother Wade got 10 tickets to Montgomery Gentry for tonight and so he is taking the whole family. I don't believe the boys have ever been to the rodeo. I'm not much of a rodeo person but I think it will be fun to go as a family. I really don't like to pay the high prices on parking, and food and all that stuff that takes money. It's amazing how much they can actually get away with when charging for food. CRAZY! Plus I dont' like crowds....they scare me...lol But tonight is going to be pretty and it will be fun I hope. It was very nice of wade to get us tickets though. BUT first I have to get through this day. Yesterday I worked from 7:30-5:30 and that was really hard...I'm praying today goes by pretty fast because the weekend is right around the corner...and then thats closer to next weekend which Stephen and I are celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. Oh how time goes by fast.

Alright well I'm going to need to go back to work.
Have a great day!
PS: Better make sure you have your green on today!

The Sun is playing Peek A boo with us

Well it's now Wednesday and that means that we only have 2 more days til we can look forward to the weekend. Is this how it will always be? Counting the days and hours down til we are free from work and able to enjoy the weekends stress free? Hm.....Stress free? Is that such a word?

Last night we threw a party for Wade, and today he is officially 18. He is turning into a MAN....once you hit 18 there is no going back..time just starts flying.

It makes me wonder what kind of man can work on a multi million dollar project, but needs me to order him a pizza....I had this happen at work yesterday and I still am speechless when I think about it. First of all, its not my job...second of all...how hard is it? I mean come on....???

We got home last night and Stephen talked me into watching "The Incredibles" with him. Usually I fall asleep during movies when I'm really tired...sometimes I just can't help it. But that was such a good movie I couldn't fall asleep. So if you haven't seen it I would highly recommend watching "The Incredibles".
But because of the fact that I stayed up late, I'm so very tired and this dreary day isn't helping any. So I'm trying everything to just keep my eyes open...I'm going to go home tonight and take a nap...lol I say that but I never follow through with it.

Okay back to work, if some great exciting happenings arise I will be back.

Bruises can be so many different colors...

I forgot to tell you a very humerous story that happened Friday night. Of course at the time it was not in the least funny but after the initial pain was gone I can now look back and laugh.

So I'm at home and Stephen and I were picking on each other again ( I think we were each trying to get to the computer first or something) and I ended up running away from him and as I turned to run I smacked my leg right into the open dresser drawer that Stephen forgot to close. And when I'm saying I was running I mean I was at FULL Speed when I colided with this OPEN dresser drawer that my WONDERFUL husband forgot to shut. So I hit the ground crying thinking I broke my leg or something and then Stephen looks at me and says " See Michelle you shouldn't of been running", granted he was trying to make me laugh...the glare that I gave him told him he better shut his mouth before I HURT him!

Anyways I ended up with a huge knot on my leg that turned purple/Blue/black.....
The funny thing is that when I hit the drawer, I hit it so hard that I broke the inside track so now even if Stephen remembered to shut the drawer it won't shut anymore.

Now that its been a day or two I can now sit back and laugh very hard about it all! LOL

I did forgive him for not shutting the drawer, but no one said I can't hold it over his head! :)

Another Rainy Day

Tonight we are celebrating my brother, Wade's, 18th birthday. Sometimes I just can't believe he is going to be turning 18. Of course I know everyone grows up eventually...but my own brother? That means that I'm getting old....if he is turning 18 then I'm just getting older and that freaks me out. When I was a little kid I thought that 30 was old...now I'm changing my way of thinking...with Stephen turning 27 this year and me turning 24...30 looks pretty young to me.
When we visited my family in Indiana last summer...I saw my cousins for the first time in like 5 years...and oh my goodness how they had grown. They weren't the little kidos that they used to be...girlfriends, cars, driving....a couple of them were even taller then me! I know i must of worn my family out with how surprised I was at how much they had gotten older, but to me they were always my little cousins, now I'm not sure little is the right word for them. Oh how time flies when your busy with your life. I just pray that now that my brothers, and my cousins are growing up that God's Will be upon their life and they will follow Him no matter what comes their way.

Okay so last night was good, we went to the in laws and had dinner and visited with everyone. It's so funny to see the brothers together. Stephen, Jason and John. For those that don't know
Stephen is the oldest (26) then comes Jason (23) and John (16).
I'v always wanted an older brother...and even though Jason is older by only 2 months I still get treated like the little sister. You know whats great about getting married? You not only get to spend the rest of your life with the one you love, you also get an extra family that loves you and treats you like their own.
Alright well work is calling me back...have a great day!

Sunny weather

Well this weekend was gorgeous! When in Houston you look forward to these types of days.
It's funny how the weekend speeds by but the week goes by so slow.
Stephen had to work on Saturday all day, and I went up and helped out for inventory from 3-9:30. And then on Sunday he had to go back in from about 1-5.....kinda messed up the weekend just a little. BUT when he came home he told me we were going on a date. He took me to Cafe Adobe and then we went and watched Hostage. The previews always make it look so much better then it actually is....
It really was so much fun...we have been so busy lately that we haven't had time to just take off together, so this was nice chance to stop everything and be alone.
We were at Cafe Adobe and we were talking and Stephen goes, "You know you can always tell who the married couples are, they don't talk." So I looked around and I had to laugh because he was so right...these couples that looked like they had been married for 20 years were just sitting there looking around...bored look on their face..waiting on their food, eating chips...not talking. It was great. I hope we never get to the place where we look and act bored with each other. As Stephen says, "You have to keep the romance alive".

Okay so I have this huge stack of mail sitting beside me calling my name so I must get on that. I hope you all have a great day. And I hope your weekend was wonderful :)

Invisible Churches Chicken

Funny thing happened last night. Stephen and I decided to make it a movie night so we rented 3 movies and decided to go get something to eat and bring it back. I was craving Churches Chicken for some reason so we decided to journey out to find the closest one to us. I had gotten on the internet and found one right off of 45 south and Richey Road...well when we got to Richey road there was no sign of a churches chicken. So I called my brother and had him look it up again. He said go 45 south and exit Richey and its on the right. Sooo I called the number and he said if you are going 45 south take the Richey exit and it should be on your right you can see the sign as soon as you take a right. Okay so now i'm going insane...there is NO Churches chicken anywhere to be seen on Richey...my brother was so adament about there being one there and that we were missing it...nooooooooooo there was NONE! So after about 30 min of going up and down Richey we decided to go to KFC on 1960 and as soon as we were on our way home Stephen goes, "um there was a Popey's right across the street from us" Drat! we drove all that way for nothing....
So now i'm still thinking about where in the world the Churches Chicken could be?? Any ideas??

So a couple of friends came over last night and we watched Garden State, very good movie...a little strange but good movie. It actually was a nice evening to just stay at home and really do nothing...relax and not worrya bout having to get up early the next morning.
It felt so good to sleep in until 10..like a breath of fresh air.

My friend Katy got a job at my company I work with. I'm so excited..she will be a file clerk back in accounting..I think she will have a lot of fun with the ladies back there. I probably won't get to see her much but it's awesome to know that she will be working there with me. It was truly a God thing...it happened so fast. She was not happy with her job now and I told her last Sunday that their was a position open and so I told HR and they called her and set up 2 interviews and she was told yesterday she got the job....things always happen for a reason!

Alright well i'm going to finish getting ready, I am going to go help The Willowbrook Lifeway with inventory at 3 today. Such fun.......
Have a great weekend everyone, its beautiful outside!

What a Day...

Okay so I tried to post this morning and I wrote a huge long one and it got deleted...so them my frustration got to me and I decided not to type it all up again. From now on I think I'm just going to copy it after I type it all up just in case it disapears again. Yuck such a bad feeling when you have done so much and its completely gone....argh...

Today has been very busy for me. The phones have not stopped ringing so other then wanting to pull my hair out and throw the computer out the window...I'm having a great day.
It's always the same questions,"what is your fax number?" I mean considering the amount of phone calls that come in a day, you would think that everyone would have the fax number.

Last week I had a subcontractor come in to drop something off and when he went to leave he found something on the ground outside...so he brought it to me....and come to find out it was a package of dope. Yeah so Im sitting here holding this item in my hand not knowing what to do with it. I passed it on to someone who then passed it on to the Human Resource Director...who then called HPD...so HPD comes up here and wants my liscense number and my name and everything else that he asked for. I was like "am I in trouble?" and he was like, "did you do something wrong?" NOOOO just wondered why you needed my info....well its because I was the one that the "item" was handed off to. So he takes the "item" out of the envelope and sticks it to his noes and sniffs in deeply...and goes "This is some pretty good stuff" oh my goodness I wanted to laugh right there...to have an officer do that after we were trying to limit the touching of the bag. Some day that was....

Last year the company got robbed and some people took off with a couple computers and some laptops...and left a crack pipe behind..which I happened to stumble upon...so now everyong picks on me because I "found" the crack pipe and I "found" the dope....it's not true I don't have a problem, I promise! I do work in the Greens point area....so that should mean something!

Alright well I have about 2 in a half hours left before I can go home...hope it goes by fast..enjoy your day!
