26 Weeks

Week 26: Eye see YOU!

Fetal development in pregnancy week 26:fetus in sixth month At long last, your little swimmer can see the womb! Your miracle’s little eyelids have finally separated (they were fused closed previously) and they’re probably having their first moments of sight as you read this (or maybe it already happened while you were brushing your teeth or watching Oprah or something). In addition to seeing their little studio in your belly, they’ve recently acquired the ability to say “yes” and “no” in rudimentary sign language as they can now move their head back and forth. This is also the time where your little super star’s head hair is starting to grow! A cute little cowlick or two may be springing into position right now, getting ready for years of cute-but-stubborn bed-head. Also, their toenails have grown in and you little raisin continues to slowly pile up fat beneath their still-loose skin. Most importantly, brain tissue and neurons are all developing at a rapid pace, increasing their (genius-level?) brain activity and will continue to function at accelerated levels for the first seven to eight years of childhood!

Another week has gone by and I'm 1 week closer to meeting my little girl. Oh that sounds so wonderful right now.
She is our little acrobate that's for sure. She loves to kick and move and let us know she is in there. This morning my alarm went off, and I snoozed it, and then my second alarm went off and I snoozed it, by the time it went off for the 4 time, she was kicking me unmercifully. I think she was telling me to shut that annoying noise off and get up. LOL I got up and I'm assuming she went back to sleep. That's my girl.
She is back to kicking or punching not sure, she kicks on one side and then punches on the complete opposite side. Not sure what is up and what is down. Ha
She is close to my ribs though, and that somewhat hurts, especially when i'm at work sitting down. I think she wants to hurry up and come out to meet her mom and dad. I'm sure she is just as excited as we are. Actually she is probably annoyed by the poking and prodding and noise that all she is doing is telling us to shuttup.
I feel like every day I wake up my belly has protruded just a little more then the day before. It's heavy, and I feel like I could fall forward if I don't lean back enough. Not really but you get the point of it. It just never stops growing, I'm not exactly wanting to know what it looks like at 39 weeks, if I make it that long. My goal is 2 weeks early, but I doubt the baby has the same goals as me.
The countdown is still going on, 14 weeks and 98 days. Atleast we are under 100 days. That was an exciting thing for us.
An old friend of mine was due to have her baby last Friday BUT I haven't been able to get on Myspace so it's really bothering me. Hopefully Friday we will have our internet at home up and running, until then Myspace is off limits. :(
Okay well I need to get back to work, I just wanted to let you all know that I have 14 weeks left and I'm counting down every day. The excitement is growing every minute.
Oh we did get the Bassinet, changing table and crib. I bought it from a friends friend. The bassinet is beautifully white and frilly, I LOVE it. I'll have to post a picture soon.
Take care all you bloggers, and Melissa your baby is beautiful!!!!

A few weekend pictures

Here are two pictures from this weekend. Our internet is not working at home so I can't resize them all, but I was able to get these down a little. Our computer has the resizer on it, but I can't download it at work. Anyways I liked these pictures.
I hope everyone had a great weekend, it's back to the grinding board.

25 Weeks and counting down

Week 25: Turn it around... and around
Fetal development in pregnancy week 25:fetus in sixth month Your tiny grower’s physical proportions are evening out at this point and most of their remaining development will largely be weight gain and lots and lots of nervous system development. The good news is: if your child is born premature now they’ll be more likely to survive without too much trauma as their lungs began to produce “surfactant” last week, which means their tiny respiratory system is getting stronger with each passing day. Yes, now’s a good time for a minor sigh of relief and a quick pat on the back—all that hard work and conscientious living is really getting your child prepared for a healthy delivery. Keep up the fabulous work mama! This week they’ll be scootching slowly out of the old breech position and start rotating (already!) into a better position for exit during their birth. Their head and feet are slowly rotating so that the head is pointed down towards the birth canal. Time is short (or really long, depending on who you ask)—just (still!) 14 weeks left before you can go back to being a single-resident human.

Happy Valentines Day to those that celebrate it
Happy February 14th day for those that dont.
I personally don't really care for the holiday, I mean why should I want my husband to take one day out of the year to spend oodles of money on me when it should be done throughout the year (or whenever I want) LOL
Regardless we are going to go to dinner tonight, Stephen's brothers work at a restaurant and they will be giving us their discount, so I'm ALL for that. It will be nice to get out and enjoy dinner in a crowded place and hope that your server is not so busy with his other 10 customers to refill your lemonade. :) I'm so positive wouldn't you say?

Alright so I am 25 weeks today, oh my how time is going by. Only 15 weeks left. Back when I was less than 10 weeks in I saw people who were already 25 weeks and I thought "how lucky they are", but now I'm here and I wish to be 39 weeks and 5 days, like Melissa. BUT that can't be so I'm going to enjoy the last 15 weeks if I have to grit my teeth and repeat it over and over. You know how some people are just pro's at being pregnant??? Okay so I'm not so much of a pro. I'm tired and cranky and wish to see my little girl. I think 9 months of this is entirely way too long....I mean you find out your going to have this cute little baby and are told to wait, and for 9 WHOLE months, and for those that go over you may have to wait a couple more days or weeks. It's crazy, especially for those (me) that don't like to wait. I mean i'm the one that sets the microwave at 2 minutes and stops it at 30 seconds because I can't take it anymore....or sets the oven and just sticks the food in without pre heating....I'm telling you I have a bad case of impatience, and the Lord is certainly showing me that I can't control the time of this. Atleast I have a date to look forward to, I might just set it in my brain as June 7th, and maybe by then she will be born.
Anyways aside from complaining, this wonderful sweet little girl that is growing inside me has so many wonderful people just waiting for her to be born. She is kicking and moving and making me have to go pee every 10 minutes but that's alright, it's amazing to feel her move. Sometimes my belly jiggles, but then when you put your hand on it she stops, that little toot, already has a mind of her own. But I love her so much!!! She will be amazing and cute and wonderful and soft and sweet and she will smell so good. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH TIME!!!!!!

I have a big weekend planned with my girlfriends that are coming in town. Two are coming in and one is already here, so us 4 are going to go have some fun on Saturday, I can't wait. We haven't all been together in a long time, I think since my wedding in 2004. It's been too long.
Alright well I need to get to work, so I hope you all enjoy your day today however you celebrate it.

Happy V Day

Cute outfits

So I pulled all of the outits we have gotten for little Addyson and it just amazes me thinking about her wearing them. Oh i'm so excited. In a little over 3.5 months we will be dressing her in her little cute onsies.
Here is my favorite that my sister and her husband got us a couple weeks ago. It's a Valentine outfit that says "Picked with Love".
PS: Stephen felt the baby move again this morning!!!

Addyson's room

So what do you think? This is what we are doing the baby's room in.
Stephen picked out the theme.

24 weeks

Week 24: Breathe baby, breathe!
Fetal development in pregnancy week 24:fetus in sixth month This is another big week for your smaller-than-life magic growing baby! Just take a look at the checklist for this week: 1) ears—done; 2) fingernails—done; 3) (if you have a boy) testicles—taking their 3-4 day trip from the abdominal wall to the scrotum; and 4) lungs walls—secreting “surfactant”. What’s that? Well, surfactant is sort of what it sounds like: a surface-activated fat whose main purpose is to assist the air sacs (their little lungs) during inflation (as in: filling with air, not getting more expensive). Just in case you’re curious, your submerged baby is still breathing in amniotic fluid, preparing and rehearsing the lungs an oxygen-filled life outside the womb. By the end of this week, your child is around 2 lbs and 14 inches long—perhaps a little more plump, but isn't anywhere near their full baby-fatted cute-self. Most of the cutesy “filling out” is coming up in that long awaited (and slightly dreaded?) third trimester. Woo-hoo! Get ready!

Well I thought I would blog before I got anymore work done because well I just don't feel like working. There is no other excuse other than that. I'm waiting for the day when I can sleep in an extra hour instead of Stephen being all cozy while I have to get up at 5:45.....it just stinks.
Today I am 24 weeks along or 6 months if you go by weekly months...but my mom gets confused so i'm just going to say i'm 24 weeks, but it's nice to hit another milestone.
Today as I was driving to work Addyson kept kicking my bladder, yes I know it sounds funny but it's not really when you feel like you need to run to the bathroom but can't because you are DRIVING! I think she enjoys doing that just to see what her mommy will do. The guy that offices right outside the bathroom must think there is something wrong with me....it doesn't help that I drink ALOT of water throughout the day. Hey just bring me my computer and paperwork and I might as well office from the bathroom, it would make it easier then to have to get up every 20 minutes and run down there before I accidently explode.
Last night I was cranky, not sure why I just was, a lot of things start going through your head especially when you know you have less than 4 months left and then you have this huge responsibility to take care of, and all the money that goes with it. Let me tell you sometimes 9 months doesn't seem long enough and sometimes it seems like eternity.
Okay so today I wore a shirt I have never worn, I was blessed by a friend I know who let me borrow a lot of her pregnancy clothes, and so I don't think I will have to buy anything, unless it's shorts of course. So about this shirt, it makes me look really pregnant, now you have to understand I wore a t-shirt on Saturday and mom said I didn't look very pregnant and today I feel like a fat pig (okay okay i know i'm pregnant) anyways it's hard getting bigger....you look in the mirror one day and it's like WHOAAA where in the heck did THAT come from. I still would like to round out a little but I'm sure that time will come.....stupid surgery.
Okay enough complaining....it's a great day and it's hump day so that means only 2 more days until the weekend, which I can't WAIT for.
Addyson still kicks but it's not that much stronger than it usually is. Last night before bed she kicked me and my stomach moved but then I called Stephen over and she didn't kick anymore. I think she can pick up on her mommy's mood. I've been so tired lately. Is that normal? I'm only 24 weeks and I feel like a zombie sometimes. I go to bed a little after 9 and get up at 5:45 every morning....and I still feel like I need MORE sleep. Am I getting too much, or is it the getting up before sunrise every morning? What do I need to do to feel better????? I toss and turn a lot during the night so it's hard to feel like I get a good nights sleep. Sleep oh the wonderful world of sleep, so I think Addyson sleeps a lot too, or feels tired like me. I can't wait for her to get a little bigger and see her little foot hit my stomach.
I'm praying this week is a much better week for me, I need some energy. I need to not work all day. :) Sorry if I sound a little grumpy, it's been a long one.
In other news our camera that we ordered on the 21st has decided to not be shipped due to being on backorder. I'm really mad because they didn't email or call or anything, I had to call them and find out why it didn't ship. So I'm hoping that it will be here sometime next week, or else I'm calling and getting another one for the same price or else, don't mess with a pregnant woman and her camera.
Please pray for my mother-in-law she is going through a procedure today and she is really nervous about it. We are believing that everything will be okay, she just needs some peace in this time.
Okay it's time to get back to work, I hope you all have a marvelous hump day.
PS: Our baby is getting her fat!!! :)

Wonderful News!!!

Last night right before Stephen and I were going to sleep Stephen put his hand on my belly and told our little girl goodnight and that he loved her. So for a few minutes he kept his hand there hoping to feel some movement. Well all of a sudden she kicked and my belly must of shaken pretty good because Stephen got a great feel of her doing this. It was awesome, he finally for the first time felt our baby girl kick. She must of known he was there waiting becuase she did it a couple more times, not as hard but hard enough for Stephen to feel the jolt and me to feel that she is getting stronger. I think she was telling her daddy that she loved him and good night because after those few she decided it was her bed time too. It just amazes me everyday that I have this baby inside of me getting bigger and bigger. I think about my bad week and I tell myself that even through all those bad nasty weeks I'm truly blessed. Sometimes we don't have everything we want but when God says He provide He doesn't mean that we will get the fancy car or the big house or the nice big income job. Everything has a price, you just have to choose what's important to you. He is providing for us and I believe He always will.
I have this blessing inside of me that keeps growing and moving and I love her more than the day is long. I have a wonderful husband who's eyes light up everytime he thinks or speaks about his little girl. It makes me very emotional because if you knew Stephen it takes a lot to make him really excited, and to see his reactions to movement and looking at his baby girl's clothes that she will wear in a couple months it's just more than I can handle sometimes. The best thing is going to be when I see him hold her and see her for the first time....he is going to be a wonderful daddy.

I'm totally confident that he will blow them away.
Thanks so much!!!

23 weeks

Week 23: Dancing baby alert!
Fetal development in pregnancy week 23:fetus in sixth month At this point, you’ve pretty much adjusted to the fact you’ve got a moving little gymnast inside of you, but now they’re going to kick up the party a notch because they can hear and react to sounds from the outside world. Sounds from your alarm clock, a thunder roll, or that darned car honking at you across the intersection can actually jar their little ears enough to elicit a kick or violent bout of squirming. Of course this also means that their little ears are picking up the sounds of your voice and those near you. So go ahead, sing a lullaby to your little angel—if they start kicking, it’s likely they just want you to stop… or maybe it was a kick of approval? You decide. Their little pink taste buds are still growing and their bones are continuing to ossify (harden). Your baby's tiny veins are visible through their translucent yet wrinkly skin. (Think of it this way: they’ve been swimming in the equivalent of a long hot bath for the past 23 weeks, so you can’t blame them for being a little prune-like.)

I decided my last post had no positive meaning in my baby post.
Today I'm 23 weeks along and our little girl is 1.25 pounds and 1 foot long. She has been moving about the same as the past month, nothing harder yet. I'm really looking so forward to Stephen being able to feel her kick, it's going to be so wonderful.
Today I realized that I miss my coffee so much. Usually I drink one cup a day and an occasional Starbucks, but coffee without caffiene is really no fun at all. Baby come on so I can get my coffee!!! ha
I'm looking more and more pregnant and that's really nice, better than just looking fat. People are always passing you thinking "she looks like she has gained a few pounds", now they can be like "is she pregnant?" It's actually pretty fun because men don't usually ask they just kind of look at you funny. Yes I'm having a baby and yes it will become more evident in the next month.
I don't know if I mentioned this last week but I get to have my Glucose test on the 22nd of Feb, I'm not really dreading it becuase the juice looks really good :) I know I'm wierd.
The blood still freaks me out but hey I feel like a pro at it by now.
Alright that's about it, I'm feeling more tired this week then normally so hopefully it won't get too bad, it's really hard to work all day when all you want to do is sleep, you know what I mean?
I hope you all have a fabulous week and hopefully we will get our camera next week so I can post a picture :)
Have a great weekend

Bad Week

This week started off really rocky has has continued to go down hill from there. Monday started with me being told that Katy and I had to copy 2 years of invoices for one particular job for an audit on Friday. We were told that our job had to be put on hold so we could work directly on this project. Well when you work in accounting cutting checks for suppliers and helping people with phone issues it's extremely hard to just say no. So Katy and I have been working our behinds off trying to get this done. They finally had to bring in a Temp to help us out because it was just too much work for the two of us. I mean come on 2 years of invoices needing to be copied...that's insane. INSANE....we weren't exactly happy with who told us either, lets just say she likes to pass the buck off to others.
This morning I decide to get to work early but wake up with a horrible leg cramp, charlie horse what ever you want to call it. It was HORRIBLE. Needless to say I worked 10 hours with not so much of a lunch break, my back hurts, my feet hurt, and I'm exausted and I get to go do it all over again tomorrow. BLEH this is such a bad week.

Likes a nd Dislikes

Two things I love about being pregnant
1) Everyone thinks your fat is cute, even if you think it just looks like a big fat roll
2) The constant moving of the babe in your belly, even if sometimes it feel like you are on a roller coaster.

Two things that I dislike about being pregnant:
1) The constant running to the bathroom especially when the babe decides its gymnastics time.
2) My feet disapearing little by little from the fat roll that just keeps getting bigger.

22 Weeks and 2 days

Okay so we went to the Dr. yesterday and I found out that my due date is actually May 30th instead of the 31st. So we are 1 day a head of schedule!! Whoo hoo. So I had to change my tickers and all that fun stuff. That's alright though I'm sure she won't be born on her due date.

I'm feeling her move more which is so much fun, and I can't wait for her to kick me harder so that Stephen can feel her too. We had a good apt yesterday, everything looks good, measurement is good, incision is doing very good, so it's exciting. I only have 2 more 4 week apt and then its down to every 2 weeks. The end is quickly approaching. I also got an ultra sound so I'll post all those fun pictures at the end of this post. We most definetely have a girl on our hands. We also get another ultrasound at 32 weeks so thats nice. She did say that because of my incision and scar tissue the 3D probably won't work for us, it was hard to get these pictures yesterday. Stephen is bummed about that, but we will see, maybe it will work out.

I'm tired this week, not used to getting up at 5:45 and working 8-9 hours a day, but I'm sure the body will get back into the hang of things.

Well I need to get to work just wanted to give you a heads up at 22 weeks. I'm still waiting for the camera but it's still in production so it probably won't get here til the 1st or 2nd week of Feb, and at that time I'll post you guys a belly shot. :)
Have a good weekend!!!

Such a GREAT day!!

Alright so today was my first day back at work after being off for 2 weeks. I was a little worried about it last night when I had such a hard time getting and staying a sleep. But this morning I got there and felt great. I only had 4 Tylenol the whole day and just really enjoyed the day. My co-worker/friend filled in for me the last two weeks and she did an AMAZING job. I came back and I wasn't overwhelmed by all the work I had to do. She kept up with it along with hers even though she worked almost 70 hours for the past 2 weeks. I love her so much! Ha
So needless to say I did what I had to do and I didn't feel like I couldn't handle it. I praise Him for such a good day. I haven't taken any medicine since 12 and i'm still feeling pretty good, a little tired and a little pain, but it's all worth it right?
Some other good news that I'm so excited about is that Stephen and I decided we needed a camera for the little addition coming in 4 months so as our Valentine/Anniversary present we bought a digital camera. I'm so excited, its going to be so awesome having a camera to take those precious first pictures of our sweet Addyson. We bought it from Dell and got a great deal on it, I'm a little sad though that it won't arrive until the first week of February, but hopefully they are faster then what the email says. Oh well, it will all be worth it in the end. So you will be getting belly shots as soon as we get it in the mail.
I was bored over the time off so I went exploring on other people's blogs, I hope they don't mind....I just connected through someone elses. Anyways the person that I found was quite interesting and she has a post for almost every week of pregnancy, and I really enjoyed hearing everything so that's my goal to start blogging everytime I start a new week, just to journal what's going on and how I'm feeling. It will be nice to go back and look at it one day. Too bad I couldn't take a picture every week.
Also it was great, on the way to work today Addyson started moving and kicking so we had our own little conversation before the day began. I told her that she needed to make sure not to drive like all the crazies on the road and that she should drive like her mommy because sometimes her daddy goes to fast. It was so wonderful to have that time just talking to her. I love feeling her move. It's the most amazing feeling in the world.
To think in 4 months or so give or take a week or to we will be holding our precious baby.
Okay so I thought I would blog all my feelings for today. I'm going to go help Stephen with dinner, I'm feeling so great!!!
Tonight is Hero's and 24, I'm a little bummed it's on at the same time but we will just have to record Hero becuase I'm not waiting to watch 24.
I hope you all have a fabulous week, until Thursday my friends.

21 weeks today!!

I can't believe I'm 21 weeks today, only 19 left, wow, I'm so anxious to see our baby girl and the time just seems to be going by so fast. Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy the last 19 weeks more than the first 21. Isn't it just the most exciting time thinking about what she will look like, smell like, and just how beautiful she is going to be. Oh my I get emotional just thinking about her. I can't wait to see you my precious baby girl Addyson Faith.

Today I get my staples out, yes I'm thrilled to get them out, I'm really looking forward to the healing process after these 20-30 staples are removed from my stomach, they annoy me. I was supposed to get them out on Tuesday but the weather turned so I had to wait til today. Plus in one week from today Stephen and I get to go back to the Dr for another ultrasound, and Stephen will actually get to see her since he missed the first one I got. We are so excited about that, only one more week.
I just can't believe how the time is going by, probably because of everything that has gone on.

This week has been extremely boring, I'm resting like I'm supposed to but I feel like I'm in a blah world all day long. If I see another NIT(Everest)"Money wasn't tight but it wasn't right if you know what I mean" commercial i'm going to go through the TV screen and strangle him. I've actually considered being a medical assistant since it seems so easy....
I'm not a DEAD BEAT I'm just recouperating!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait to get back to work and use some of my brain power instead of just guessing the answers on Family Fued or siding with people on Divorce Court. LOL
Anyways it's been relaxing but I'm ready to get back to my normal life. I have seen Stephen for lunch every day, he comes home to check on me and eat lunch, so that's been nice. Katy is just ready to have me back at work, so Monday here I come!!!!
Alright well I guess I'm going to get a shower so I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week.
Melissa, you are so close to having your baby, I can't wait to see pictures of him and hear of your experience of birth. Every day you are one more day closer to seeing your precious son.

THE COMMERCIAL CAME ON AGAIN, SOMEONE PLEASE STOP THE TORTURE!!!!

PS: I want to get you a belly picture but that will wait until these staples are out and you will only get a side view, you won't be able to see my scar that way. LOL

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I don't think I've ever been in so much pain in my life.
I just thought you all wanted to know that.
Also after all this I'm sure even if I decide to have Addyson al la natural it won't be as painful as what i'm going through.
That is all
I'm tired

An update

Hey guys, I'm back!!
I actually just got to my parents house about an hour ago.
I'll catch y ou all up to date.
I'm a little tired so be easy on my grammer and spelling.
Tuesday I went in about 11:15 and got all set up in the room, changed, got my IV in and heard the baby's heartbeat. I was doing good until they started wheeling me into the OR and when Stephen and my mom had to stop following me I just couldn't stop the tears from flowing....so I get to the OR and they sit me up getting me ready for my spinal which really freaked me out so of course my anxiety came back and I started up with the tears again....the nurses were great they just really took care of me and tried to get me to relax...before I knew it I was lying down again and everything started getting distant. That was the last thing I heard and saw before I woke up to extreme pain frommy belly down. the first thing I asked was did we have the baby's heart beat, can I hear it, and I'm still pretty much out of it but I heard the nurses saying it was a good sign becuase I knew where I was at. So then we got the heartbeat which was hard because she was hiding behind my incision but we did find her. Then I told them I was in so much pain so they gave me some stuff that really helped. I got to my room and found out I had had the surgery and was in recovery for an hour before I actually woke up.
At that point I was hurting but not bad at all, I thought I was doing good. I'm not good with medicine names but it was through my IV and it was dopomean or something like that. Mostly I was in and out of sleep along with visitors Tuesday evening, and we got to hear the heart beat like every couple hours. Each time I was nervous because she was hiding behind my incision but we found her and she was moving so much...I actually can feel her now so it realy helped me cope with everything. By Wednesday I was in more pain but getting up and walking and feeling good about everything. I will say when I looked down at my incision I freaked out...its above my bellybutton all the way down, so it hurts to have anything touching it. By yesterday evening they had to stop giving me the IV medicine and start Vicaden (sp?) That didnt work very well and I was feeling like I was going to throw up and this was about the time Pastor came in to pray for me. It was not a good time. Anyways last night I had Vicaden again and didnt' sleep much, had aches and pains and just couldn't sleep very mucb. By this morning I was ready to go home...so the Dr came in scheduled me for an apt to get my staples out for Tuesday and said I could go home around noon. It was actually easier then I thought because the nurses and doctors were extremely nice and helpful I just loved having them around. I do have to say Wednesday morning I got woken up about every two hours and even had blood drawn at 3:30, yeah it was crazy. Stephen stayed with me the whole time and my mom came up every day to help. Right now i'm trying to get used to Vicaden, I'm not sure if I like it, but it does help a little. But it's nice to be out of the hospital bed and all the tubes and here where I'm around my family. I couldn't of done it without everyone's prayers and loving support. I'm sure its' going to be an interesting couple weeks but I know everything will be okay, God will give me energy and take away the pain. thanks again for everyone who kept me in your prayers on Tuesday, it was by far one of the scariest things I've ever gone through but my little girl is safe and she is moving all around....I can't wait to see her!!!
Tht'ats it for now, i'm tired and hurting nad waiting for more medicine. But I have a picture to show you all of what the cyst looked like, I wasn't about to have this thing taken out without getting to see what's been growing inside of me. Tell me what you think. It was about 18-19 Cm Take a look at this sucker
Love you all

Changing to Private

Hey guys, I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year.
I'm going to change my blog up and restrict "outsiders" from reading my post. I figure I have a little babe coming and I will be posting lots of pictures so I want to keep the freaks away.
So if you want to be able to continue reading it please email me your email address at this email address that I have set up Texanchic19@yahoo.com and I will add you.
Don't be shy, even if you know me through someone else just let me know and I'll be glad to add you.

I also wanted to tell all of you that are praying for us thank you very much. That means the world to me, as the days are counting down til Tuesday. I know everything is going to be fine, I'm just scared of surgery, but hey who isn't. Anyways thank you for thinking about us and the continued prayer and support and encouragement. I love all of you blogger friends.
Have a great day!

Some bad news

I just found out today that I'm going to have surgery either next week or the week after. I get that phone call tomorrow.
The Doctors will cut an incision starting from my belly button down and remove a 19cm cyst along with my right ovary.
Because of the magnatude of the cyst they have no choice but to take it out now.
If we don't the baby will not make it because she won't have any room to grow.
When I have the surgery there is always the risk of miscarriage or premature labor but the risk of doing nothing outweighs the risk of doing the surgery. My doctor said that I'm looking more like 30 weeks pregnant rather then just 18. So maybe it will make the home stretch more comfortable later on.
I will be in the hospital for 2-3 days and out of work for atleast 2-3 weeks. I only have 3 weeks vacation so I'm hoping that I can just be out for 2.
Of course I'm frightened to have surgery but the thing that really scares me is the slight chance that Addyson won't make it. I know I can't think like but it's really hard not to when everything just kind of hits you at once and becomes reality.
Addyson's middle name is Faith and that's exactly what is being asked of me. I think it's the most perfect name, don't you agree?
Please pray for us
I will keep you posted.

The Priceless Gift of Christmas

The Priceless Gift of Christmas

Christmas is a heavenly gift that only God can give.
It's ours just for the asking, for as long as we shall live.
It can't be bought or bartered, it can't be won or sold,
It doesn't cost a penny, and it's worth far more than gold.
It isn't bright and gleaming for eager eyes to see,
It can't be wrapped in tinsel or placed beneath a tree.
It isn't soft and shimmering for reaching hands to touch,
Or some expensive luxury you've wanted very much,
For the priceless gift of Christmas is meant just for the heart,
And we receive it only when we become a part
Of the kingdom and the glory which is ours to freely take,
For God sent the HOly Christ Child at Christmas for our sake
So man might come to know Him and feel His presence near
And see the many miracles performed while he was here.
And this priceless gift of Christmas
is within the reach of all,
The rich, the poor, the young and old,
the greatest and the small,
So take his priceless gift of love,
reach out and you receive,
And the only payment that God asks
is just that you believe

Pink things are actually adorable!!

Okay so anyone who knows me knows that I hate pink, I just dislike that pinky girly color and I thought if I were to have a girl I would rather purple then pink. BUT everything and I mean everything has changed now. I still don't like pink for myself but for my little girl, she has to wear pink, and purple and all those girly colors because our little girl is going to be the cutest thing ever, and you just have to put pink on a girl, it's a must...and have you seen how much is out there with pink on it, we have such a selection.
So Wednesday I received a package from a lady that I work with on the cell phones, well thinking it was just my phone parts I didn't have time to open it so I left it til yesterday afternoon. When I opened it there was not only my phone cases but there was two pink long sleeved onesies and a pink bib that says "Thank Heaven for little girls". It was so adorable, my first official pink outfit. Then I went to my mom and dad's last night and they had bought me a pack of differen't kind of pink t-shirt onesies just to get me started. OH my gosh, I get so antsy knowing that our little baby girl will be wearing those one day....and it just warms my heart.
Here is just a picture from the website I found but these are the ones my mom and dad got me. I LOVE THEM, and the pink is perfect, especially with the hearts. Too bad they only stay little for a short time.

I don't know what's in store for me in the next couple weeks but I know this, God has a hand on all of us, and even if His purpose is for us to have one child then so be it. But she will be the most special and cherished daughter God has ever placed in our hands and heart.
It's amazing how much emotion and love I have for her.........okay tissue please. :)
I'm a dork I know....but I'm sure as I get farther along the more emotional I will get, so bear with me. :)

Frustrating times

First of all I just want to say that I'm soooo excited to be having a little girl!!!!! i just can't believe it.

Okay so yesterday when I went to the Dr. they wanted to check up on my Cyst during an ultrasound. Well the cyst grew from 14cm to 19 cm and it has been shifting because of the baby growing and everything getting moved around. I believe it's coming up over the top of my stomach. Anyways my doctor is on maternity leave until January so the one I am seeing while she is gone is worried and ordered an MRI. So today I went to the hospital and had an MRI done, which was really scary because I was worried about Addyson the whole time. But the radiologist eased my mind so I went ahead and went through with it. He told me that if I didn't get the cyst out now the baby wouldn't have room to grow because of how the cyst is shifting around. That really scared me. So I am waiting for the results and I'll know more. But as of right now we have two choices that the doctor must decide between. Either they will stick a needle in my stomach to the cyst and drain it, and hope it doesn't come back. Or they will do surgery and take out the cyst along with my right ovary. I'm really nervous about everything because I dont like doctors and I am scared for our little girl. I know God will take care of her but as her momma I just want to do everything to protect her and she isn't even born. I feel totally bonded to her already, it's such an amazing feeling. Anyways please pray that the right decision is made and everything works out perfectly. It should be taken care of probably in the next week or two. The good thing is I will have a chance to have a natural child birth.
The doctors thought it was wierd to not have any pain when I should but ever since the ultrasound and her digging around it is uncomfortable right now. She said that's why i fee so bloated, i've got so much growing in me.
I'm really tired and it's all just kind of weighing on me, but I'm believing that God has her in His hands and will do everything to protect her for me.
So that's whats going on and I'll keep you posted with the news as I get it.
Thank you for all the congrats and encouragement even through all this it's such an exciting time knowing that we have a baby girl growing inside of me. Just an amazing thing I must say :)

You guys are awesome!!!
I'm glad I'm going to be the 3rd person to have a girl on this blog. :)

A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!! MUST READ

Well guys, I have some extremely exciting news. I have some bad news but that can wait until tomorrow when I find out how bad it actually is.

Today I went in for a routine check up and was told they wanted to do an ultrasound to see how my Cyst looked. I was surprised because I hadn't expected it and Stephen wasn't there. So the ultrasound lady asked me if I wanted to know what we were going to have, and of course I couldn't say no, and I knew people would really hurt me if I had turned down the chance to see what Baby Griffis would be. SO we found out......:)

WE are pleased to announce that we are having a............................

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm excited to announce that Baby Griffis now has a name.

Addyson Faith Griffis

WE are so excited and our family is happy and this is just a wonderful day. I was so surprised but it was amazing because I could even tell it was a girl. She is a very active girl with a strong heartbeat..I just love her
I even had 2 viles of blood taken and it wasn't as bad as I thought.

Another week gone by

Well we are all moved in. It was actually a great move, and Stephen and my family helped out a lot. I had the last box done on Sunday evening and I even had the Christmas tree and all the decorations put up. That was my favorite part. I'm enjoying it but Sammy has become more than just a crazy cat, he is possessed. We may end up having to get rid of him, I'm really sad about that, but my allergies are horrible and I'm miserable, he ping pongs around the apartment pouncing on the floor making all this noise, he bites and scratches and then at night he wants to sleep as close to your face as he can. He is driving us crazy. We really don't know what to do, I think he just needs to be outside and not cooped up.
I wore myself out moving so on Tuesday Stephen was off and I took off with him and we finished most the Christmas shopping and just relaxed. It was really nice to just take a day off during the week.
My best friends grandmother passed away last weekend and we went to the viewing on Tuesday evening and then mom and I went to the funeral yesterday. It was such a sad and touching funeral, she was loved so much. I just pray for all the family and friends because this is such a hard time for them.
It makes me think about how I would feel if I lost someone close to my heart.

I'm officially 4 months/16 weeks today...crazy how time is flying. I was going to take a picture today and I'm really sad because I have NO camera, so I dont know what I'm going to do. It makes me sad not to be able to see my progress even though I can see it in front of the mirror and with my clothes. I'll try to figure something out.

This weekend is going to be so busy, we have my work Christmas party on Saturday evening, then a graduation party to go to on Sunday afternoon and then Stephens work Christmas party Sunday evening. I'm already tired thinking about it.
Alright well I need to get back to work, thanks everyone for your recipes and for your encouragment, it's been such a busy week, and I'm glad I have people like all of you bloggers.

Have a great weekend!!!

I need some help and was wondering if anyone could possibly help me out.

I need some easy yummy semi healthy recipes.
I'm not good at coming up with things to make and am having a hard time finding good recipes.
so if you have a couple of your favorite recipes that aren't family secrets that you would love to share I would LOVE to try them.

I find it harder to be creative......i'm blaming it on the pregnancy.

I could use anyone!!!1

Thanks so much

15 Weeks and moving

Sounds like everyone is moving into a new place right before Christmas.
Well needless to say so are we. We found a small little apartment for the time being and are moving in starting tonight and lasting until the weekend. I'm tired thinking about it all but I also just want to get it done. It seems we always gain more stuff as we move from place to place. I'm ready for a solid house and no more moving around. Hopefully that will be before the baby is born next year. I'm praying, and I still have hope.
Anyways I may not be able to get on the internet this weekend, I"m not sure if and when we are setting it up at our new place. I 'll let you guys know how it went. Considering I can't lift heavy things and Stephen's ankle is still sprained, it should be quite interesting to see how it all works out. We will have plenty of help though, my brothers and Stephen's brothers are going to give us a hand.
Okay well I'm 15 weeks today, it's somewhat nerveracking because at 10 weeks 20 weeks seems so far, but now that i'm at 15 weeks, i'm 5 weeks until i'm half way....in some ways it seems so slow but yet I look back and can't believe I'm so far along.
I'm going toget ready to get out of here, but I wanted you all to know that even though I havent gotten my ultrasound I really believe I'm carrying a little boy.
It's exciting, and now i'm anxious to see what the u/s says.
In 1 weeks I'm going to post a belly pic....see how big i've gotten in 4 weeks.

PS:
I can't wait to feel him/her kick :)

3-day Meditation

3-day meditation

In God's plan are many things
man cannot understand.
But we must trust God's judgment
and be guided by His hand.
Sometimes HE asks us to give up
our dreams of happiness--
Sometimes we must forego our hopes
of fortune and success...

Not all of us can triumph
or rise to heights of fame.
And many times what should be ours
goes to another name.
But he who makes a sacrifice
so another may succeed
is indeed a true discipline
of our blessed Savior's creed.
For when we give ourselves away
in sacrifice and love.
We are laying up rich treasures
in God's kingdom up above...

For any sacrifice on earth
made in the dear Lord's name
Assures the giver of a place
in heaven's hall of fame.
And who can say with certainty
where the greatest talent lies
Or who will be the greatest
in our heavenly Father's eyes?
And who can tell with certainty,
in the heavenly Father's sight,
Who's entitled to the medals
and who's the hero of the fight?

Forgetfulness

Yay! I finally have a valid excuse!!!!

Week 14: Forgetfulness (or, "Pregnancy Brain")
" Am I imagining this, or is forgetfulness a pregnancy symptom?"
Forget about it: Pregnancy forgetfulness isn't in your imagination. Like so many other pesky pregnancy symptoms, it's in your hormones (and there are studies to back that up — just in case your partner doesn't buy that there is a legitimate physical cause you neglected to pick up his prescription on the way home). Sleep deprivation can also play a role, as can the fact that you're constantly zapped of energy — energy your brain needs to stay focused. Even the most organized type A personality can take a disconcerting turn for the scatterbrained during pregnancy: missing important appointments, leaving the oven on, forgetting to respond to e-mail, misplacing the car keys…misplacing the car.…
To help stay focused, get into the habit of writing things down before you forget them. Keep lists of absolutely everything — of groceries to buy, phone calls to make, questions for your practitioner. Frequently checking a daily planner can also help (you can use your online pregnancy planner and take the What to Expect Pregnancy Organizer with you wherever you go). When possible, enlist the aid of those around you who are not pregnant to serve as your backup system (Honey. have you seen my keys?). Have your partner write down your important appointments so he can call you with a friendly reminder.
Most of all, try to keep your sense of humor about your forgetfulness. It's only temporary, and sometime after delivery, you'll notice your memory returning — although the fog probably won't lift entirely at least until your baby (and you) start sleeping through the night.
Here's to a memorable pregnancy!Heidi

Mishaps and baby talk

I hope everyone had a marvelous Thanksgiving!!! It was such a beautiful day, and a great day for Thanksgiving.
We did end up having one little mishap. Us girls were in the kitchen getting some of the last minute things together while the guys were outside playing football when all of a sudden one of my brothers ran inside to tell me that Stephen just hurt his foot. It seems that he had hit the only hole in the front yard and twisted it pretty bad. His ankle was 3 times the size that it should be. He kept it up for the rest of the day and I took him to the ER the next day to see if it was broken or just sprained. He ended up with an inline fracture that didn't move out of place, so they gave him a boot and he borrowed some crutches from a friend. So he's been hoping around here, laying down with his foot up, relaxing....while me, the pregnant one, has been doing everything for him. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around right now. LOL
No I'm somewhat happy to be at his beck and call getting his dinner and drinks and ice and swedish fish, and anything else he wants (needs). I love him. :)
I can't wait for him to be healed. ahhaha

Other then that it's been such a nice relaxing weekend. I got to see my family, and my sister and her husband and then we hung out with Natalie and Jason and Jackson who came in to visit from San Antonio. I'm not ready to go back to work on Monday, but that's the way it has to be.
Only one more month until Christmas and I am in no way ready.....I have such a hard time getting all of the gifts together, I'm wondering how it will all work out next year when i have a 6 month old to take care of too.
I'm so excited about that, I see Natalie and Jason take care of Jackson and I cannot wait to be able to have a sweet baby of our own. It's so unreal right now, mostly because I'm not really showing, the baby is not moving yet, and I don't know for sure what we are having. I can't call him/her by name, and I'm just waiting to feel this baby. Sometimes I'm just so happy, other times, I feel like it's all miserable right now......it's really been a bad 3 months, and I'm praying that this time goes by fast...maybe i'm not one of those people who enjoys being pregnant. I am one that loves the child, but right now, it's just hard.

Come January I'll be half way there, and more pumped then ever, so this is just a rough time right now. God is good though, and He gave us this great blessing. Stephen is so happy, he is always talking about him/her....and sometims he calls the baby a her, which is so sweet because at the beginning he was always calling my stomach Reese. He just can't wait for our healthy baby to make an appearance. I've never seen him so excited about something....it's a wonderful feeling. Okay enough, I'm just going through all these feelings and it's nice to jot them down for someone else to read. It really is a wonderful time right now.

I hope you all have had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, and you didn't get too caught up in the crowds.

Week 12 Appointment

Dr. Apt went well today...nothing much went on, the heart beat was good and everything seemed normal. My next one is December 19th and I get to have blood taken to see if everything is alright with the baby. Like it's my privelage to get blood forced from my body. Oh well right. I did hear that I can't find out the sex of the baby until around January 15th. I'm anxious but I can wait, that's only 8 weeks from now. I can't believe I will actually be 20 weeks in 8 weeks, half over, wow! Anyways I just thought I would give everyone the update on my day. I only have 2 more days at work and then I'm free until the Monday after Thanksgiving. Whoo hoo.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Cravings

I just want to forewarn you all right now, that I am probably going to blow up like a blimp with this pregnancy.
People have been asking me if I've been craving anything lately....and I haven't really so far, but this weekend has been pretty wierd.
Friday evening I didn't feel very well so I pretty much did nothing, and then I got this huge craving for fried rice from this chinese resauraunt down the street....mmmmm goood. Stephen went and got me that and some soup...it was good.
Now today I'm trying to take a nap and all I can think about is James Coney Island chili, cheese and onion hotdogs. Usually I only eat corn dogs when I go there, but for some reason those sound soooo good right now. I'm going to send Stephen in a little bit. ha
My Dr. apt is tomorrow and i'll post any updates then.
Have a good Sunday evening.

A BABY GAME

Okay guys I have a simple game that everyone can play.
I got this website from Lindsay (Thanks Lindsay) and thought it would be fun.
What you do is go to the following web site:

http://www.expectnet.com/game.php

type in the top left corner under name of game
BabyGriffis

You will then be able to put a guess in on weight, length, gender and birthdate.
Let's see who will actually get the closest.
thanks guy!

Remember anyone can play!

A Long fun week

Alright I've been asked to update and I believe that means more then just pictures. So much has gone on this past week, it's been a crazy 7 days.
Last Friday we left at 8:30 in the morning after picking Wade up from class and drove straight to GA. We got in to my Grandmother's house about 9:30 and met up with the rest of my family who had left the day before. We stayed up talking and catching up which was really nice.
Saturday and Sunday was spent shopping and hanging out with my Grandmother and seeing my Uncle. It was so pretty there, I actually didn't think that trees could be differen't colors. Fall in GA is gorgeous, I'm waiting on some pictures from my brother. My camera went on the frits right before the trip so I'm depending on everyone else to send me pictures.
Monday we got up early and left for TN which was a beautiful drive, we went through North Carolina and up through the mountains. We were so far up the mountain we saw ice, it was so pretty. We spent Monday-Thursday going into town, shopping, eating, relaxing, sitting in the hottub, playing pool, checking out the sights, and some more shopping, and just having a good time with the family. Even though it rained on us, we still had a good time. Not as cold as I would of liked but it was pretty nonetheless.
Friday morning we all got up and got ready to come home. Dad, Mom, Kristen, Dennis, Dustin and Josh were planning on staying in a hotel while Stephen, Wade, Ryan and I were planning on driving straight home. On the way we decided to stop in Gulfport to visit my Aunt, Uncle and cousins who were on a missions trip for the people who went through Katrina. They live in Indiana and we thought that even though it was an hour out of our way we couldn't pass the chance up to see them. It's so sad to see all that happened in Gulfport and even sadder to see how many people were yet without a home. But yet the Casinos were up, tell me about getting their priorities straight.
We got home Saturday morning about 3 am...it was a long long drive.
That's our trip, it was great and tiring and all that jazz.
Since we have been back it's been hard on me, I'm tired and not feeling well. My brother came down with something and I think I might of caught the tail end of it. It's hard getting in the groove of things when you have not had any kind of schedule for the past week.
I'm almost 12 weeks along and I had to move my Dr. Apt to next Monday the 20th because I was so swamped at work today. I never should of made an apt right after getting back from work. Anyways so hopefully the Apt after this one will be the one where we find out what we are having. That would be so exciting!!!!! Right before Christmas, what a Christmas present.
I've been told I'm getting a baby belly, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not right now. I feel like I shouldnt' be showing....but I guess everyone is different. When I get a camera to work I;ll take a belly picture for you all. Maybe...hehehe
This week will be so busy. We have our Thanksgiving luncheon at work on Thursday, and since I'm pregnant I've signed up to make all these wonderful things that I want to eat. LOL
I also have my review that day, I'm nervous about that. Friday I have a meeting luncheon at Saltgrass, I know such a hard week...on top of that I have all this work to do. Next week should be a little easier.....we get thursday, friday, saturday and sunday off. Happy Thanksgiving!!
Well I'm going to finish watching Heros, I love that show.
I hope you have a blessed week.

This is what happens when your husband goes with your brothers, brother-in-law and dad to visit your uncle to watch a Georgia Bulldog game.
Do I need to keep an eye on him more or what?

Prettiest boy

So I HAVE to do it again, I have to post a picture of the prettiest boy ever.

10 Weeks

Well I'm finally 10 weeks along, crazy how time seem to be going to slow but then on the other side it's going so fast. Before I know it I will be half way there. I'm already hoping for a fast pregnancy, my back is already hurting.....LOL
I can't believe that in maybe 6-7 weeks we can find out what we are going to have...that seems so crazy to me. I'm starting to feel a little better, I don't think I've come home and crashed at all this week, so that is a huge improvement for me. I'm actually pretty pumped that I'm feeling better. I hate feeling like my body just can't do anything else. It still is very hard to get up at 5:30 and work til 4, but I'm praying it just becomes a routine again. 2 more weeks until the end of my first trimester, it's just around the corner. I have another Dr. App on the 13th of November, I'm not sure what they are going to do since this is my 2nd apt, so if any of you remember can you please give me a heads up, I like to know before I get there. LOL I hate Dr.'s
Well Stephen, Wade and I are leaving tomorrow at 7:30 on our journey to GA. There we will stay until Monday and head out to TN for the Chalet. I believe we will be back home on the 10th. I'm so excited and happy that it's finally almost here. There is just so much stuff going on that it will be nice to just sit back and enjoy a nice vacation. I hear its like in the 30's and 50's right now....I love cold weather.
Please pray that our drive up there is good and we have no problems.
I can't procastinate any longer as I have so much work to do before 4.

I hope everyone has a nice week and the weather continues to be beautiful!
