What does your b'day mean?

Your Birthdate: August 25

Your birth on the 25th day of the month (7 energy) modifies your life path by giving you some special interest in technical, scientific, or other complex and often hard to understand subjects.

You may become something of a perfectionist and a stickler for details.

Your thinking is logical and intuitive, rational and responsible.

Your feelings may run deep, but you are not very likely to let them show.

This birthday makes you a more private person, more introspective and perhaps more inflexible.

In friendships you are very cautious and reserved.

You are probably inventive, and given to unique approaches and solutions.

YOU KNOW YOU ARE LIVING IN 2005 when...

Something you might enjoy:

1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.

2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3.

4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.

5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses.

6. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.

7. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen.

8. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.

10. You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee.

11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. : )

12. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.

13. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.

14. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.

15. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list.

AND NOW U R LAUGHING at yourself.

Go on, forward this to your friends....you know you want to!

My weekend

Okay so I guess I haven't updated this thing in a while.
This past weekend was fun, fast, and a little dissapointing....
Friday night we hung out with my sister and her husband: ate and watched The upside of anger...very strange movie.

Saturday Stephen and i went to Chipotle for lunch (Where else?) and ran a few errands and then went home...it was way to hot to be running around. That evening we went to his parents to stay the night because Stephen had to get up at 3:30 to go deep sea fishing with his dad and brothers. Maybe I can get some pictures to put on here. I'm trying to talk Stephen into a digital camera for Christmas!!!!
Anyways Sunday Stephen's mom and I went out to eat and then we went to see the movie, Must Love Dogs, that is an AWESOME movie.

So when we get out of the theatre about 4:45 I checked my phone and had a voice mail from Stephen. He had left me a msg to let me know that they were on their way home and that he had some bad news to tell me when he got home. Now come on.....you cannot put that on my voice mail and then NOT pick up your phone when I call.
So after a few attemps I finally got a hold of him and asked him what the bad news was. He told me that it was news that I needed to hear face to face. Well then I told him he cannot put something on my voice mail and worry me and then not tell me...so he starts off like this...

"Well I was washing my hands for lunch..." and then I cut in with ..."and please don't tell me you lost your wedding ring", to where he replied, "it slipped right off into the Gulf of Mexico"

SOOOO yeah it was a little sad......very sad actually......now even when we get him another it won't be the original....but it was an accident and things happen, and no one was hurt so for that I can be thankful.

I couldn't say "so how hard did you try to retrieve it??? did you dive in after it?" LOL
Oh well things happen...

I told him he was going to be unmarried for a while...He he!!!

Bad News Bears

Tonight Stephen and I went with my sister and her husband to see the movie "Bad News Bears". Now I had only seen a few previews but what I saw looked to be a cute funny movie. Yet I left the movie theatre feeling very disapointed by what I had just spent two hours of my life watching. It stuns me to see what the world thinks is funny. I am more upset by the fact that I did indeed laugh at some of the parts. Let me explain just a little. First of all the team consist of ten to twelve year olds and ALL of them have such dirty mouths. The coach doesn't care what he says or does and the kids all fight and swear and disrespect everyone. Now my question is what kind of parents would put money above teaching their kids morality? How can a parent let their child be put in a movie where they sit there and give certain signs and say certain words? My thoughts are that young kids are going to go in to see that movie and they are going to laugh and laugh at what was being said and learn that its "funny" to say and do those things. Where did this world go wrong?? Where do we get off thinking thats okay? I am terribly upset that I wasted our hard earned money to support that trash. It really did rub me wrong....and I can't stop thinking about it. Kids.....who is raising them now a days....how are they being raised?? I can't help but think how we are going to raise our children, and how we are going to teach them that they need to serve the Lord with all their heart, and to show them the love of Christ. How can a movie that was meant to be funny hurt so much......

So my new favorite thing to do is sell old textbooks on www.half.com. So if you have any old textbooks that you don't need anymore you might want to try it, its free to list. They of course get a percentage, but the way I think of it is that its just going to sit on my shelf and collect dust.
So go earn some extra money!

I went grocery shopping this evening and that was such a great experience.
When you go to Walmart they end up giving you like 20 hundred bags for your groceries.
BUT you go to HEB like I did today and they put as much stuff into each bag that when you go to carry them up THREE flights of stairs it tends to take you more trips then you would of if you had just shopped at Walmart. I bought a huge gallon of milk and a huge gallone of juice and they stuck it in the SAME bag.....now tell me, how am I suppose to walk up three flights of stairs without it busting through when the bag was already ripped????
Yeah so I was so tired after lugging up all the groceries................ARGH.....

Lesson learned: Always shop at Walmart

My Husband

Okay these are some of the things you should probably know about my husband.
Stephen is pretty easy going, he hardly ever lets things get to him, he makes everyone laugh with stupid little things. I mean there are a couple of our friends that all he has to say is "corn dog" and they crack up. Don't ask me, its all in his personality, or the way he says it. I haven't figured it out yet. He notices everything, and he will pick on you about it but in a way that makes you laugh really hard. For instance when I was young I ran into a guy and somehow my front tooth chipped...I have had it fixed once but the little piece fell out (believe it or not it fell out the week I met Stephen) Go figure. Anyways Stephen always calls me Chip, thats one of my nicknames because of my chip in my tooth. Somehow I don't really care to fix it because it's one of my "qualities" LOL. So my point is even the things I dont like about myself he always makes it a joke so that I'm laughing instead of getting upset about it. One time Stephen and I had my brother Wade and we went grocery shopping before we took him home. So I'm shopping and the guys are walking behind me and all of a sudden they break out in song.......which totally emberrases me...so I walk a little faster to leave them behind......thinking that everything is okay, they start going "Hey Michelle where you going, why are you walking so fast?". I just couldn't win......Stephen doesn't care what people think about him, he does his job, he is totally himself and if they don't like it then they can just deal with it. There are also those times when he is so forgetful, I mean you can remind him over and over and over and he will still forget. But then there are those times that he does things without being reminded......and if you go to remind him he will forget.....does that make sense? For instance one day I was leaving for work and told Stephen not to forget his cell phone, well he hardly ever forgets it, but since I had reminded him he forgot it. When he doesn't have to work til late, he cleans and makes sure everything is tidy for me when I get home. When I work late he cooks and cleans up.

There are times when he is very quiet and sometimes you can't get him out of those moods but I think that he really is just devising his next plan of action. Put him with our friend Matt and those two can be extremely crazy......but they make us laugh and thats all that matters.
Stephen does some crazy things, he forgets alot, he makes me laugh, and the best thing of all is he lets things slide right over his head (unless of course I really make him mad ;) )
That's why I love him.
Oh and one more thing......he is great with children!!! Heehehe

So my crazy husband always asks me "So have you talked to anyone today"?
I tell him to be more specific...even though I KNOW he means "have i talked to any family or friends today?" So now I say it to him.....because well considering I'm a receptionist and I get 500-700 calls a day, what am I suppose to do, name off every call I get because sure yeah I'v talked to TONS of people today.
Everytime I talk to him at work my new question is "so have you talked to anyone today"?

The reason why I'm telling you this is the other night I was picking on him for always saying that to me....and I told him that I was going to tell everyone all about it.....so I forgot what I was going to post yesterday and called him up to ask him. He said "even if I could remember I wouldn't tell you". I think I became the new moron, " Hey honey remember what I was picking on you about last night, and how I was going to post it on my blog, what were we talking about?". I think he would of been the idiot if he had told me.

So maybe those of you who know me but don't know Stephen will get a little look at who he is.
I hope you all have a great day.
And maybe I'll have some great stories to tell you about him. I'm telling you they happen EVERYDAY!

A Funny

A man from Texas, driving a Volkswagen Beetle, pulls up next to a guy in an Arkansas licensed Rolls Royce at a stop sign. Their windows are open and he yells at the guy in the Rolls,

"Hey, you got a telephone in that Rolls?"

The guy in the Rolls says, "Yes, of course I do.."

"I got one too... see?" the Texan says.

"Uh, huh, yes, that's very nice."

"You got a fax machine?" asks the Texan.

"Why, actually, yes, I do."

"I do too! See? It's right here!" brags the Texan.

The light is just about to turn green and the guy in the Volkswagen says, "

So, do you have a double bed in back there?"

The guy in the Rolls replies, "NO! Do you?"

"Yep, got my double bed right in back here," the Texan replies.

The light turns and the man in the Volkswagen takes off. Well, the guy in the Rolls is not about to be one-upped, so he immediately goes to a customizing shop and orders them to put a double bed in back of his car. About two weeks later, the job is finally done. He picks up his car and drives all over town looking for the Volkswagen beetle with the Texas plates. Finally, he finds it parked along side the road, so he pulls his Rolls up next to it. The windows on the Volkswagen are all fogged up and he feels somewhat awkward about it, but he gets out of his newly modified Rolls and taps on the foggy window of the Volkswagen. The man in the Volkswagen finally opens the window a crack and peeks out.

The guy with the Rolls says, "Hey, remember me?"

"Yeah, yeah, I remember you," replies the Texan, "What's up?"

"Check this out...I got a double bed installed in my Rolls."

The Texan exclaims, "YOU GOT ME OUT OF THE SHOWER TO TELL ME THAT !!!

Update on the Weekend!

Alright so an update on this past weekend.

Friday: I Finally got away from work at 2:45pm!!!!! After leaving here I met my friends mom and we drove to Dallas to see Abby!!! Janice (Abby's mom) was going to Dallas to see Abby and also to celebrate her sister's 50th B'day so she asked if I wanted to come along and surprise Abby. So I did and we got there about 7:15 and boy did I surprise her. She is one hard person to surprise and we actually pulled it off (unless of course she is really good at pretending she is surprised)lol. Anyways so we hung out up there until Saturday at 1 and then we had to come home :( but atleast we got to spend some time with her.

Saturday: I got home about 4:30 and Stephen and I went to Chipotle, surprise surprise.....he ALWAYS wants to go there. Then we went back home and watched tv and relaxed.

Sunday: My sister had a surprise party for my brother-in-law so we hung out all evening over at their house. Before that we had watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. It was good, very funny, but very different than the old one. I still enjoyed it though.

Alright so that sums up my weekend...it went by way to fast, but it was very enjoyable.
I also found a new ticker, and even though we don't exactly know what we are doing for our vacation in October I'm still so looking forward to a break...so anything will be nice.

OH for all of you who were praying, Stephen is doing good. His tooth hasn't hurt him very much and he is just waiting for Thursday so he can get his temporary crown on. It's like a 3 step process, I never knew. Thanks for the prayers.

I dont have any interesting going on right now....just life in general..I like to read everyone elses blog because they seem to always have something going on. Especially the ones that are either pregnant or just had a baby. I love reading those.

Alright well you all have a great Monday and I hope your weekend went just as well!

My poor Husband

Please pray for my husband Stephen, he just had a root canal done a few hours ago and he has to work 12:30 -9:30 and is in a lot of pain right now. Such a bad experience, especially when you go in for just a crown and you come out with a root canal.....
Thanks you guys

Something awesome

Okay so today is the last day of class for me. I was a bit disapointed because when I checked my chapter critique grade it was a 90/100. I know that a 90 is an A but I worked really hard on that paper and couldn't understand what I did wrong. So I emailed my instructor and just asked if he could tell me what more I could of done for future reference. Well I got a phone call a little while later and it was my professor letting me know that when I had posted it the first time I didn't copy it all the way, and so I had re posted it. But he had read it right after I posted it the first time and thought I missed some information. So when I emailed him to ask him he went back and re read it and realized his mistake of not reading the whole thing. He said he had been wondering becuase I was one of his best students (that alone made my day) anyways so he said he would fix the grade, and when I looked I had gotten a 100/100. That has just made my day. Okay well I have to finish the mail. So I'll post more later.

TGIF

Guess what today is? It's FINALLY FRIDAY! For those of you who have the weekends off you know exactly how I'm feeling right now. Except for the fact that I still have all day to get through to get to the weekend, BUT its still Friday.
I just thought I would check in with you all before I got too busy this morning. I need to start working on some homework while I have some down time. Yesterday we so busy, and I didn't have time to even open up my book. So therefore I need to make up for what I didn't get to do yesterday. Nothing interesting going on so I think I'll just say Have a great weekend. Enjoy it and have fun, they go by all so quickly.

Thursday, July 07, 2005

Well well well, I bet your all surprised to see a post from me. It has been a crazy week.
I hope you all had a fabulous fourth of July weekend and you all enjoyed your day off on Monday. We had so much fun and I am sad that its already over. Our next holiday is Labor day, September 5th and thats 8 weeks away. Boo, we need atleast one every month. I need to use a sick day.....

Well an update of this weekend. A friend of ours (Abby) came down on Friday evening from Dallas and spent the whole weekend here, with us. We all hung out Friday evening, Saturday evening, Sunday and Monday. I actually stayed out til 1:30 on Friday night....I was so impressed with myself, it has been a while since I actually stayed up til 2am. Saturday I went to a wedding with my mom. An old friend (Jonathan Palermo) got married and it was a really nice wedding, very hot, but very nice. Afterwards Stephen and I went to Chipotle with a friend and then we met up with the rest of our friends and Abby highlighted Katy's hair and I dyed Jon's hair black...he looks so good with that color. That was another late night for me.
Sunday we went to church with everyone and Katy and Jon sang this AWESOME song, and then we all went out to lunch at Lupe Tortillas.
Then Stephen and I ran home changed and met up with Katy and her mom to watch "War of the Worlds", that is a very intense movie......but the affects are amazing. That night Stephen and I went to my parents and mom helped me on a paper that I had due, and got that done about 12:30....but my mom is awesome and I'm so glad she helped me.
Monday we had a barbeque with friends and then later Stephen and I went to my parents to swim and then onto fireworks. We didn't get home til 11 and it had been a long and tiring day. Now its thursday and I feel like I'v been at work all week and not just 3 days.
I'v have just a little bit of homework left and I am finished with my class. I think the last day is the 12th. So this coming Tuesday will be the last day. It will be a relief.....but I'll miss having somethign to keep me busy while I'm bored at work.
Anyways that was the sum of my weekend and now I'v got to move onto a project that I was given. I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week and enjoy your weekend if I don't get back here. Thanks for all you that have been wondering about me...:)

Talk at ya later

Another DAY!

Okay so these past couple days have been extremely stressful. Mainly from things at work.
Its just a mess right now, and I'm so tired of the crap that work involves.
So the 8-15 my backup receptionist will be out of town and that makes it to where I have to find someone to relieve me for breaks and such. So I more than likely will be working 4-5 10 hour days....and I'm so not looking forward to that. Dont' get me wrong, this has nothing to do with my backup, she is great and we help each other out so much. I'm so glad she is finally getting to get out and take a vacation. It's just dealing with everything thing here on my own. It's crazy. Anyways so I'm just dealing with that and other things among that.
I had a headache all day yesterday which didn't help matters. I had gotten up in the middle of the night to go to the restroom and when I got back in bed, Stephens elbows were in my way and I jammed my ear against them really hard... I couldn't see in the dark..so the right side of my head hurt all day long...throbbing....and today its much better.
But you know when things like that happen you just have a bad day...and it always seems to get worse no matter what.
So today I'm working on my Chapter critique for Sociology. It has to have four things in it.
Thesis, Method, Evidence and Evaluation....I'm finished with the first I'm having a hard time with the others. Its not due til the 8th I think...but I want to get it out of the way.
I also have to go home and take the quiz thats due by tomorrow......such a fun week this has been. One more step to being done. The official day is July 12th...but hopefully I will be finished before then. I'm hoping to get this passed me. I'm making an A so far...so thats what keeps me happy
.
This weekend is July 4th and we finally have our 3 day weekend, and I'm so excited for that. It makes me so happy. :) We are going to have a barbeque, watch a movie, watch fire works and visit with my wonderful friend that is coming down from Dallas this weekend! I'm SO pumped. It will also be nice to not have to wake up Monday morning for work....yep it will be a good one.

Well I 'm going to finish eating my soup and work on my paper....and then do the mail when it gets here. Pray for my sanity....I'm losing it I feel.

Have a great day

Today has been really fast!

I have 13 minutes left for the day and I have gotten a lot accomplished today.
I just thought I would say hey to everyone that reads this blog and know that I'm still alive...I'v just been so busy. I'm sure you all understand that.
I had a great weekend and it was nice to get off, and now I have this weekend to look forward to. A three day weekend!!!

Well I'm getting ready to leave and I'll try to write more tomorrow. I have 3 weeks left of school so I'm trying to keep myself ahead so i'm not rushing at the end.

Have a great rest of the day!!!

Red Short Hair

So I got my hair cut to my chin last night. Did I do this intentionally? No.
I went in and told her where I wanted it, a little above my shoulders....so she took the first snip and asked me if that was okay.....my response, "it's short, very short". So when she asked me this question what was I suppose to say? "No thats too short can you put a little back on?"
Come on now, people think!
But its okay it looks cute, makes me look younger....so I went to the grocery store last night and picked up some hair dye...so now I have short red hair......lol...I thought well I'm adventureous so why not keep going. I like it.....
Did I mention that Stephen hates short, red hair??? Not that he hates my hair...but those things he does not like....oh well, I did it for me :)

Life is busy right now, don't know why but it seems we are always having things go on.
This weekend is desprately needed!!!

I hope you all are having a great week, can't believe its almost over, actually I can't believe its almost July!!! Christmas will be here before we know it!!!

Alright time for some reading for class....hopefully I will learn to update this more often!

Okay so I lied, the correct color should be called Auburn red....does it make a big difference?

Summer starts tomorrow

I"M BACK!!!
Alright so last week was super busy for us, and this week will again be just as busy.
I know I have been slacking on this blogging thing, and I have been hearing it from my brother Ryan. But yet he never posts on his....so whats he complaining about.
This weekend was so nice, it was nice to be off for a couple days. Stephen and I went and saw Batman Begins on Saturday...that was an awesome movie. I went in thinking I wouldn't like the actor and that Michael Keeton was the best batman, but this movie blew me away. I totally rocked!! eheheh
Spent Sunday with dad and the family...that was nice...cooked dinner, visited....
Went home and cleaned and then watched this movie that Candace and I had to watch for class. It was called "Guess who's coming to Dinner?" It was made in 1967 but I thought it was very good. I guess if thats a movie you have to watch for school then your doing pretty good.
We got a new Human Resource Director and she took me to lunch today. She is now my supervisor, and she is extremely nice. I'm hoping that things don't change too much.
well thats it for now.....I'm going to get back to work.
I hope you all have a nice day.
Tomorrow is the first day of summer....and it already feels like its been summer for a while now!!!! Enjoy this heat

BABIES!!! AHHHHHHHHH

OH my gosh is this not the season for babies??????
I just found out someone else at work his wife is going to have a baby in Jan
Alicia is going to have one in Feb
Lindsay is having a girl in October
My sister's friend is 2 months pregnant....
Another guy's wife at work is going to have a girl in August
Stephens brothers' friend just had a baby girl.....

Anyone else I should know about?????

Things that make you go hmmm....

Here are a few things to think about that you probably have never thought about...

Can you cry under water?

How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?

If money doesn't grow on trees then why do banks have branches?

Since bread is square, then why is sandwich meat round?

Why do you have to "put your two cents in".. . but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"?
Where's that extra penny going to?

Once you're in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?

Why does a round pizza come in a square box?

What disease did cured ham actually have?

How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?

Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up like every two hours?

If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?

If you drink Pepsi at work in the Coke factory, will they fire you?

Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?

Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?

How come we choose from just two people for President and fifty for Miss America?

Why do doctors leave the room while you change? They're going to see you naked anyway.

If a 911 operator has a heart attack, whom does he/she call?

Why is "bra" singular and "panties" plural?

Do illiterate people get the full effect of Alphabet soup?

Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here, and drink whatever comes out!

"Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?

Why is there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer?

When your photo is taken for your driver's license, why do they tell you to smile? If you are stopped by the police and asked for your license, are you going to be smiling?

If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a stupid song about him?

Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane?

If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can't he fix a hole in a boat?

Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs!

What do you call male ballerinas?

Can blind people see their dreams? Do they dream?

If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?

If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

Is Disney World the only people trap operated by a mouse?

Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?

Why did you just try singing the two songs above?

Why do they call it an asteroid when it's outside the hemisphere, but call it a hemorrhoid when it's in your butt?

Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride; he sticks his head out the window?

Do you ever wonder why you gave me your e-mail address in the first place?

Again I am slacking

Okay...okay...okay Ryan, I will stop studying and take time away from the phones to update just for you!
We had a great weekend....Friday evening one of Stephen's best friends growing up called and let him know he was getting married on Saturday. It was a last minute thing and so on Saturday we drove to Katy and attended his small outside wedding. It was really fun though, and then his parents took us about 20 people to Red Lobster afterwards. It was nice seeing Mark so happy.
That evening we went over to our friends Jon and Katy's house and hung out for a while. About 9:30 we drove downtown to this restaraunt called Katzs....which was extremely good! Open 24 hours! We didn't get in til 2am....and we were soooo tired.
Sunday was a relaxation day which we did nothing....and hung out and just relaxed for the next week.
And here we are on a brand new week....how exciting is that...whoo hoo.
I can't wait til Friday!!!! eheh

Okay so on to the most important thing......the Michael Jackson trial. I cannot believe the verdict....I'm so terribly upset....I guess it shows if you have a lot of money you can get away with basically anything. Whats really sad is that if it were just some guy up there on trial with so many accusations against him...he would be in jail right now....maddening how the system works. Can you tell i'm frustrated??

Alright well there is really no new exciting news going on.....just a lot of work and real life to deal with. I'll try to keep you posted more often. Only 4 more weeks til my class is over....and only 2 more weeks after this one before we get a 3 day weekend....oh how I love those!!!

Have a great Tuesday!

Ryan how does this make you feel?

Friday, June 10, 2005

Oh what a week

Well I'v been MIT lately...sorry guys, it's been one crazy thing after another this week.

This past weekend was good, I think...I dont' remember what we did. Oh yeah we had a b'day party for my brother-in-law, which went really well. They played Washers....if you don't know what that is don't ask, it's strange. I thought it was a game that those yankees in Indiana made up...but I was wrong. eheh

Tuesday Stephens car decided to stop working. It ended up being the master cylinder...and that screwed up his clutch. He was in the parking lot at work so everything was okay when it happened. He called the tow company through our insurence about 2pm....and when I went to pick him up at 5 his car was STILL sitting there. After 3 more phone calls and and hour and a half later they finally picked his car up and took it to the shop. But being that it was after 6:30 and the shop was closed it meant that we had to play carpool again on Wednesday. Which turned out okay because Stephen dropped me off at 7:20 and then Katy took me home at 5. We got his car back that evening....$350 dollars later...BUT its all fixed and all that is left to do is change the timing belt. So then in May he can sell it and hopefully get a truck. We are praying.

Last night a friend of ours had his 22nd b'day so a group of us met for dinner at Chipotle's and then we went to this jazz concert at Market Square. It was relaxing and nice to just sit there and chat with friends. Lindsay and BJ ran into us last night and Lindsay is 6 months pregnant today....and she looks SO good...keep it up Lindsay, whatever you are doing, you look great!

Tonight I work at Lifeway, and I'm dreading it....BUT it worked out because if I had been scheduled earlier in the week I wouldnt' of been able to work..so the Lord took care of all the details. So why ask why anymore???
Between work and all that has gone on this week I started my Sociology class this past Monday. I'v been working on homework and such this week, and last night I took my first quiz online...yeah so so far is seems really easy. It's only seven weeks long so thats not too bad. I'm actually really getting into the chapters. I like DL courses because when I have time I can do work ahead of time and get it done, and not have to sit in the classroom. So this year this is a good thing for me.

So all in all I'm so tired, and I' m ready to just sleep for a couple hours....this has been one crazy and long week. But I'm proud, I even found some time to clean up the other night...:)

Oh and I found out that another friend Alicia is going to have a baby....I'm so excited for you Alicia!!!! Oh what things happen when your busy. My brothers are at camp this week so Ryan hasn't been telling me to update so I kinda got side tracked.....

Alright well a bunch of boxes have come in through UPS and I have to go find out who they belong to. I hope you all have a GREAT weekend!!!!

Email

One day God was looking down at Earth and saw all of the rascally behavior that was going on. He called one of His angels and sent the angel to Earth for a time. When the angel returned, he told God, "Yes, it is bad on Earth; 95% are misbehaving and only 5% are not."God thought for a moment and said , "Maybe I had better send down a second angel to get another opinion."So God called another angel and sent him to Earth for a time too. When the angel returned he went to God and said, "yes, it's true. The earth is in decline; 95% are misbehaving, but 5% are being good."God was not pleased. He decided to e-mail the 5% that were good, because He wanted to encourage them, give them a little something to help them keep going.

Do you know what the e-mail said?

Okay, just wondering; I didn't get one either......

5 oh 5 o'clock where are you???

The mail is done...I'v done three puzzles online....I'v talked to Stephen twice today...balanced my checkbook...answered 384 phone calls.....and its only 2pm. Oh my gosh this day is slowely going by...helpppp!!!!!

We have a busy weekend....but it should be fun...

Nothing much going on.....got my Sociology book in the mail today....yeah for college...even if does takes me til I'm 35, I will graduate!

5 o'clock please come quickly.....

Sometimes you just need to drink a Cream Soda...

Wow, so it's been one busy and long week for me. A lot has been going on...where shall I start?

As of the 1st of June Stephen is the Assistant manager on the floor instead of the office Assistant manager. I know you guys may not know what all that entails BUT it's really a good thing. They hired another assistant manager so Stephen was switched to the floor. Which means that he will move up as Manager faster, because when he gets an interview they aren't going to question him about how he takes care of the office, they are going to ask him about how he would take care of the store. So it's really a great thing for him...and its a good opportunity to prove himself as a leader. He still likes to do things himself instead of delegating but as Manager he has to learn to delegate to his employees. I'm so proud of him he is really doing great where he is at. Also the sooner he gets to be manager the sooner we can get a house!!! :) Yah for that.

Remember the bad day I had a couple post back? Well the person who made that day bad for me called me up on Tuesday night and apologized for what had happened. We ended up talking for a little bit and it really helped me let my bitterness go. I may not get the apology that I thought I needed after 5 years...but I'v learned to let go of that too. So all in all it was a good conversation that was 5 years overdue. God does work in mysterious ways...!

Yesterday I worked my butt off all day long...and was extremely tired when I got home at 10pm. It was one of the longest days this week. Although I will have to admit that I am thankful for the 4 day work week. I just feel like I'm cramming everything into four days instead of Five...kinda through me off. Atleast we only have 4 more weeks and then we get a day off for July 4th.

Tonight Stephen and I are going out with his family for my brother-in-law's 24th b'day. We are dining at....oh my gosh my mind just went blank....its um...Cafe Adobe....it's some good food.

Alright well thats about it for today...I have 3 more hours up front and then I'm home free....and then I have to clean..yippeee!
Have a great rest of the day everyone!!!

Just another Tuesday

Okay so I had a bad day yesterday. Everyone is entitled to have one of those once in a while.
So I did and I'm over it and I'm doing good. Today is Tuesday but it feels like Monday so the rest of this week will go by a lot faster then usual. I only have 3 more days! Whoo hoo.
I hope you all had a great and wonderful Memorial weekend. The next 3 day weekend is a month away... July 4th! Whoo hoo....can't wait for that.
OH and in a little over 3 months we are going to be sitting on the beach in Flordia! I can't wait, I need a vacation so bad, and I LOVE the beach! So much to look forward to this year. :)
Alright well I'm getting ready to get off the phones and deliver mail so you all have a great and wonderful rest of the day. Maybe tomorrow I will have something more interesting to post.

Adios!

My best friend Candace, and her boyfriend Mike in Cancun!!!! I love this picture! A bunch of her friends got together and took a trip.  Posted by Hello

a picture of the beach in Cancun...my best friend sent it to me after her trip.  Posted by Hello

Bad Day!

Okay so something happened today that put me in a horrible mood.
My best friend just got back from Cancun this weekend and she asked me to come by and see her, she had something for me. So I went by her store and thought it was really cool because I was off and didn't have anything pressing for a couple hours and was enjoying catching up with her. We hadn't really gotten to talk for a month or so...so it was really nice.
Well then she gets a phone call from her brother who had been waiting in the parking lot to come in to get some phones, but saw me go in and felt it was uncomfortable to come in when I was there. This person being an old ex of mine....but its been like 5 years.. has been married for 2 years...I have been married for 1 and so he basically told my friend that I needed to leave because they needed to get some phones. So all in all I'm the one that had to leave the store because they needed to come in....what was the point??
What would i have done?? Said hello and excused myself?? No I have to leave my side of Town so that they wouldnt "bump" into me when they come into town.
This hurt becuase well I was enjoying time with my friend and because someone was too immature to say hi.....I had to cut that short..I had to change my plans......so much for acting Christian Like....how could someone do that??? It's not like I was trying to cause problems...but yet what problems would I of caused...I'm married for goodness sake.....what would I have done????
So I drove to my parents (they live right down the road) and I was boiling...and mom talked to me...and I calmed down some...but it just hurt to be treated like that....I just don't understand how people can be so rude and uncaring...and immature.......

Now I know why I work during the week......

Crazy Pic

Oh and by the way, the picture I just posted, my brother Ryan asked me to blog it...
Crazy!

TGIF

God created weekends so that we can get back some sanity that the week took away...:)

Okay so here is convo that I have on a daily basis for field employees that don't come into the office much.

Employee: "Where can I find so and so"

Me: "Go through this door take a left at the second hallway, go down a couple offices and at the first hallway take a right, go all the way down that long hallway..when you hit the wall you are going to take another right, around the corner and two offices down, he should be on your right".

Depending on who they are talking about it could be longer directions or shorter directions.
But can you imagine if you are on the receiving end of that?? I would need a pen and a piece of paper just to remember the directions. You know when you first get hired they give you a map of the office....its so funny.
Whats funny is that if you look at the outside of our building is just a long narrow building...BUT inside is a maze that you could get lost in. Crazy...

Alright so it's Friday, and a day to be thankful for. Last night Stephen and I ran some errands picked up a pizza and got a movie (Are we there yet). We didnt' get a chance to watch it though so hopefully it will be a lazy night tonight and we can watch it. Went to bed about 10:15-10:30...I'm such a baby, but I was extremely tired, I'm always tired :(
Atleast our apartment is spotless!!!

Alright well I think I'm going to crack out my book and maybe pass some time until its time to ditch this place. Yay for weekends!!!!
Yay for beaches....My friend Abby and Trish are going to Flordia this next week for a week. They are leaving on Monday and I'm so excited for them!!!!!! Pray for a safe and fun trip!! :)
Next trip: Come and see ME!!!

Blah!

It's the day before Friday...Whoo hoo!!!!!!
There is a man in shorts and sandles coming in with a hat on him...he looks like he is from down under.....

Okay so nothing going on....just working and ready for it to be the weekend.

Alright so I'm in one of my blah moods and have nothin to say but atleast I updated...
Until next time, have a great day!

Just for Ryan

Ryan asked me what was going on with my life....?
I'd say pick up the phone and call me but you already tried that today and most of the time your on hold, and I apologize for that. What can I say though...I live on the phone at work..literally live on the phone. I feel like my whole life is sitting here in front of the computer with the headset on my head saying "Good Morning/Good Afternoon Tellepsen". I'm just waiting for the day when I will do that no more.

What else is going on...hm..I just talked my husband into going to the beach in the fall...September to be exact....its such a beautful time to go...so we are planning on taking a trip to Flordia in September if everything allows us to. Even if we can only afford 4 days I am so up for it. I can't wait...I need a break and I NEED the ocean...and the beautiful sand...:)

We watched the season finale of One Tree Hill last night..it was two hours long..but so good.
They left you hanging on every single thing....I can't wait for it to be back on.
BUT I think I will enjoy this time of not having to make sure we are home to either watch it or tape it. So that will be nice.
Thats about the only tv we watch during the week that is a set time.

I'm going to start working out regularly....and start eating right. I have such a hard time with that...but hopefully I can become dedicated....:) I'll keep you posted on my progress...I need encouragement. I also want to tan BUT I also want to pay bills off...so which is greater...?

I'm working til 5:30 today again, and I'm not working at Lifeway this week. I would like the extra money but its been nice not having to worry about it and plus I get more overtime here. And thats worth a lot more. ;)

Other then that life pretty much is normal....just regular things that go on. I can't wait for this weekend, I get Monday off and for that I'm so excited. I need an extra day to do nothing but fun things....:)
Yeah for holidays!!

Everyone have a great rest of the day
Ryan, please do something with your blog!!!

To sum up my weekend....

Okay so I had an awesome time in Dallas over the weekend! We all had such a blast.
We didn't get in to Dallas til 7:30 on Friday because we were stuck in Friday 45 N traffic, but I think we made good time...especially with me driving! lol
Hey I was just going along with everyone else...and everyone else was going 85.......:)

We ate out...swam in the pool...sat in the hot tub...saw a movie....drank coffee....shopped....ate out....met up with Katy's brother....played an awesome game from Starbucks....and talked...went to an amazing service at Abby and Trish's church....and had a great time with my girl friends.
Stayed up late got up early....I can't believe all that was accomplished within such a short time.

We left about 2:30 and after dropping Katy off I got home about 6. It felt like a long drive and I was soo tired after this whole weekend. I got home and wanted to crash but we had to go to my families house to have pizza and watch a movie my brother made. It was also his last night at home...he is going to camp today for 3 weeks I belive...and then he will be home for a 1 and be gone for another 3 weeks or maybe its 6 weeks. I don't know...something like that.
Anyways I'm sure I wasn't much fun over there last night....I felt like I needed to close my eyes and wake up this morning. After we got home I crashed...and here I am...ready to start another week.

It was nice to get away for a couple days...I did miss my husband but it was only 2 days...so it was no big deal. He had a great guy weekend....it's good to do this every once in a while. Abby and I want to get Natalie from San Antonio and Katy and have a 4 girl weekend like we used to have....its been a while...and it would be such a great time to do it. I miss my girlfriends...but one day I won't be living here either...and then we will have to take turns on who comes where.
It's so wierd to think we all met at lifeway and Natalie moved to San Antonio and got married, Stephen and I stayed here and got married, and Abby moved to Dallas to be an assistant manager at Lifeway, and Katy may move away to A& M. Who knows where God will lead us in another year or year in a half....so much has happened....and yet we are still closer then ever and that is the greatest thing. I just miss my friends :( We have to do this again!
Thanks Abby for such a great weekend!

One thing funny happened while we were there...we were at the swimming pool/Hot tub and it was about 11:30pm....and two guys came out and swam....and then after they got done they laid out on the pool chairs....one on his back and one one his stomach...and they looked like they were laying out at midnight.....maybe someone should of told them it was night. It wasn't like they were laying there staring at us...becuase they were facing the trees...it was strange.

Anyways I must finish this mail....i'm in such a good mood though because I had a great and successful weekend....:)
And we get a 3 day weekend this week...amazing!!
Have a great rest of the day!!

Friday here we come!

Today a couple of us from work and my father-in-law will be visiting a River Oaks mansion that Tellepsen built. I toured it last year before it was complete and am looking forward to viewing the finished product. I heard that the fire place in the master bedroom cost $37,000 alone. If I get time when I come back I'll fill you in on the rest....its HUGE. We will be leaving here at 10:30 and probably not getting back til 1..so then I have 2 more hours up front...how exciting is that?? AND I got to wear jeans today...so that puts me in a great mood.

In other news I will be leaving with Katy at 3:30 for Dallas. We are both pumped and looking forward to seeing Abby. I'm leaving Stephen here to fend for himself, and he is off all weekend. But I think he will be fine, I mean he does have his XBox to keep him company. He told me though, that he wants me to be able to do things like this and not to worry about him, he will be fine. What a sweetheart!

I will post more later...you guys have a great morning

Half way there

Well isn't it just a wonderful morning??
Okay okay I think I got just enough sleep last night.
I went to bed at 9:30....I was SO tired.
A little bit of the convo last night.....

Stephen: "Come on Michelle what do you want to do?"
Michelle: "Michelle wants to go to sleep while you stay up and play Halo".
Stephen (with jaw dropped): "Your amazing!"
Michelle: "I know"

Just so you all know I HATE video games! I hate how they are so addicting.
Stephen will be off the next day and stay up til like 2:30 that night playing xbox.
It's crazy insane! Oh well, like I care, I'm all curled up in bed asleep. This morning I asked
Stephen if I had woken up when he got into bed last night (I never remember) and he said just my nightly routine at talking in my sleep. Yes I talk in my sleep ALL the time......atleast I don't sleep walk....I should set up a recorder and see what I actually say.

Okay so something awesome happened yesterday....A good friend of mine and I reconciled after about a year. It was so completely a God thing! You always wonder why things happen like they do...and why they can't be fixed when you want them to be fixed but God always knows the perfect time and the perfect place. It's been hard because you are always thinking about this person and wondering what happened...but now I know that God puts friends in your life for a reason and how you handle situations with these people are your choice alone. I made some bad decisions but God worked it out and now I have a wonderful friend back in my life. God is amazing!
So I'm in a wonderful mood this morning.

How are YOU doing??

Tuesday, May 17, 2005

Yah for Tuesdays

Wow it's already Tuesday...the weekend just flew by so fast.
Saturday Stephen and I took Ryan to see the movie "Kicking and Screaming", that movie was hilarious. I would totally recommend that movie if you want a good laugh. It was also nice to hang out with my brother...somtimes its nice to have one on one time. Especially when most the times my brothers don't have names....they are called "the boys". We all do it..."so where are the boys at ?", pretty sad I know. Anyways it was fun.
Sunday we went to a going away party for the other assistant manager at Stephen's job. She found another job and the manager had a barbque in honor of all her hard work while she was there. That was pretty fun....then since we were in the area we went to visit Stephen's parents for a little while. And then relaxed the rest of the evening.

Tonight after work Stephen is bringing his car over to his parents and trading it out with his dad's car. He is getting his belt replaced and Stephen's dad has a mechanic friend that can do it for way cheaper then shops would charge. So Stephen gets to drive around in his dads Toyota Camry for a day....that is such a nice car. I got a magazine in the mail yesterday for the Hybrid Hondas and wow the Accord is soo nice. I just like to keep all my options open...still hoping for that Toyota 4 Runner one day. :)

Well there is really nothing else going on right now. I can't wait for this weekend...Katy and I are leaving about 3:30 on Friday to head to Dallas....it's almost here! :)
You guys all have a great day !!!

Great Friday!

The long awaited day is finally upon us. Yippeee! Only 6 more hours left and I get to enjoy the wonderful weekend!
This morning I was running late AGAIN for the second day in a row. I grabbed my purse and my cell phone and ran to the car. Well on my way to work I had to call my doctor and when I pushed redial I heard a phone ringing...and it was the same ring tone for when Stephen calls me.
My first thought was why he was calling me when I just left...and then my second thought was how can I be on the phone and hear a phone ringing from my purse at the same time?
Well I had accidently grabbed his cell phone after I put mine in my purse and the redial was because I was using his phone and the last person he called was me.
So then I thought well I will just call Stephen and tell him...and then my second thought was "duh I have both phones"
I think by the time Friday gets here your brain has gone to mush......

Stephen had to get his oil changed last night so we took his car to Walmart and went shopping while we waited...it took over an hour to get it finished. By then we were both so tired and ready to get something to eat. So we drove to Chickfila and we ran into some old friends. I used to babysitt their two kids years ago....they are now up to 4 but I never got that far. Anyways its a really nice surprise to run into friends that you hadn't seen in a while.

We also watched Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events last night. It's an okay movie, not the best but not the worst. It was nice though to just relax and do nothing.

Okay so I can't stand these phones....they are driving me insane. So I need to go..If I have time I'll write more later.
If not have a fabulous weekend!

Too many bids....

Praise the Lord, the bids are over! I can now breath.
We had two bids going in this afternoon and as of 3pm...we are finished and everyone should have their quotes in.
I'm so relieved...Its been one of the busiest days this week. Now I can relax and take it easy til 4. The phones were ringing off the hook and the faxes were popping in my email every few seconds....ahhhhhhhhhhh

Okay so Friday is almost here....I can't believe another work week is almost over, thats so crazy.
I can't wait til this weekend.
My poor brother Ryan is getting his wisdom teeth out tomorrow at 1. I feel bad for him but it's really not that bad...and I'm one of the biggest babies when it comes to needles and hospitals and doctors...so coming from me, you should trust me.

Stephen gets off at 4 today and I'm leaving here around 4:15 and we are going to get some errands done. We haven't had any time for anything other then sleep this week. It's been one long one. I'm glad its almost over.

Other then that nothing interesting happening today. Just working hard and ready to be off.

You guys have a wonderful rest of the afternoon!!!

Cream Soda...Yum...

Okay now that I have had some Cream Soda (I know it's not good for me, but couldn't resist) I feel a lot better. That and it's almost 1 pm and that means I have 3 more hours up front.
Couldn't be any better then that.

24 1/2 hours down
only 27 more to go!! Whoo hoo.

Alright so at the beginning of the year Stephen and I made a goal to get all of our debt (excluding my car) paid off by March of 06. We finished Stephens car in March and are finishing one credit card June 15th. But as for the very last credit card, I'm getting a little discouraged about that....it's been a rough couple months...so we decided to lighten up on the payments just a little...and I'm praying that even though we do that it will still get finished by March 06.
It's easy to say you will sacrifice things to make goals work, but it's hard to do that sometimes because you just get so burned out. But God is good and we have been able to get this far, which is far more then I dreamed of getting.

I'm a math person, so I get on the computer and make up these excel sheets for each month on bills/paychecks/budgets......and I rework them probably 5 times before the month actually gets here....oh and they are also color coordinated. LOL...
I'm a freak I know. I also have one for debt and rent...I like to see how much money we are shelling out for a apt...hey what can I say, I like detail.

Anyways we are praying about Stephen and his Manager position, one day soon. His manager right now, says a year to a year in a half. So....when he starts that I will be out of a job....and for that to happen we have to be free of what we are in now. Makes sense right?
So all the hard work that we are going through now will pay off one day right?
I'm excited though to see what God has planned for us and where He will take us...I love an adventure!!! And change...I love change...oh and I love places that have 4 seasons.....

Anyways I'm in a better mood and that counts for something right?

I hope you all have a great rest of this hump day....Friday is ALMOST here!!!!!!
God is good! :)

Another Tuesday

I think it's about time I updated this blog of mine. Well I keep getting msg from my brother on why I haven't written in it lately so this ,I suppose, is for him.

Life has been extremely busy lately. I seem to always be at work...maybe its becuase I am always at work...it's crazy.
This week I'm staying late today and Friday...and then I work Lifeway tomorrow...so I think I counted...51 hours this week...yuck. So I'm already tired just thinking about it.

Mother's day was great...Stephen and I went to church with the family and then had a family dinner with everyone. It was nice and it was a great time to tell mom how much we love her. I don't know what I would do without her. She is one of the greatest moms.
After we ate we headed over to Stephen's parents house...his mom was sick with the flu so we didn't do very much. But we wanted to show her how much we appriciated her so we thought it would be nice to drop by for a few.
I couldn't believe the weather on Sunday, it was horrible...the rain didn't let up at all.

After the family thing we headed home and cleaned and got things ready to begin a new week.
And here we are the day everyone forgets...Tuesday....
But I for one love Tuesdays...my favorite show comes on...One Tree Hill...Only 3 more episodes left....wow what am I going to do? LOL

Nothing really exciting going on...I ruined my back seat belt in my car by leaving it hanging out...the whole buckle is gone...I'm sure Auto Zone can fix that though....sometimes its hard to admit you were stupid and you weren't thinking.

I found these puzzles online www.jigzone.com and have been putting them together all day. It helps the time go by when I'm not busy and keeps me sane.

This weekend Stephen is finally off, no work, no meetings...I'm so looking forward to that.

A Boring day

Well it's the day before Friday, how exciting...you all know how much I love Fridays.
It's also a beautiful day.
But I'm really tired....I feel like I can't get enough sleep. Oh well the weekend is almost here! :)

Yesterday evening I worked at Lifeway for my once a week shift, it went by pretty fast, the days before Mother's day is always busy.
That reminds me, I need to go take care of that...aren't mothers wonderful?

So the Rockets play tonight....if they don't win this will be the last game for them...hopefully and prayerfully they will win...for Stephen's sake. But this time I will be there rooting them on. Hey I don't actually mind the playoffs...well the last two in the playoffs when they really count. lol

Stephen's off today...so do you know where I want to be??? :(
And do you know where I'm not? :(

Well today is a blah day and nothing interesting happening so far. We still have 8 more hours left, so you would think something could happen. sorry this is so boring, maybe I'll have something interesting later!
You all have a great day

Michelle My Bell

Stephen made me a mix cd last night and he put the funniest song on there. When he makes these cd's for me he always sticks something funny in the middle of it so when I'm listening to it for the first time I'm like, "what?". Anyways he put some phrases throughout the cd from Napolean Dynamite...and my favorite....."Michelle My Bell"
Now thats an old song. My dad always sang that to me....and Stephen found it and put it on the cd. How fun!

Have fun!!!

Enjoy yourself!!!

The weekend

Wow what a weekend! For two people to not have any plans for the weekend it sure did fill up fast.
Friday after Stephen got home from work we drove down to Braeswood Assembly for the Fine Arts Competition. We got there about 7 and the place was packed with kids. It was great though, I had never been.
We made it in time to see our groups human vidoe and it was so great I got goosbumbs. They always seem to pick such a touching song.....they passed and are going to Denver in August!
They worked so hard to get there too.
Ryan's group played the Christian band around 9pm and they did an awesome job! I'm so proud of all the band members.....they even played one of Stephen's favorite songs by Brave Saint Saturn ( A side group from Five Iron Frenzy) It was funny though because when they played a part about a light our group pulled out their cell phones and waved them through the air. I was surprised, even my dad did it. They also passed and are moving on to Nationals in Denver.
Wade's videos passed on to Nationals also, I really liked the Lamewad music video....that made all of us laugh.
I also got to meet a friend that I met on the blog board...Alicia and her husband are youth pastors so they had brought their youth to the Fine Arts Competition. They are two extremely nice people and I enjoyed being able to meet them.

Saturday Stephen had a meeting at work from 9-10, but that didn't faze me because I didn't get up til 10...it was so nice to sleep in.
We ended up calling up some friends and we all went and saw "A Lot Like Love", I thought it was a good movie, the guys thought it was slow...but I thought it was cute, but then again I like those kind of movies. Afterwards we ran home so that Stephen could see if the Rockets game was over (we taped it) and when he turned the tv on he accidently saw the score and found out the Rockets lost....poor guy....:)
So then we all decided to go to the park and play sand volley ball...which was so much fun because I hadn't played in so long. A couple little leaguers came over and we invited them to join...they were so funny, they all wanted to show off for ladies. Then we of course had to slide down the kiddie slides...lol
Afterwards everyone came over and hung out and then our friend Matt showed up and we went to Starbucks and drank coffee and played Skipbo! You have to know us...that is our game we take everywhere and play. I was a little high on the Caffeine that night...but everyone loves me hyper!! :) j/k
Sunday night we went to Katy and Jons and played Yatzee with them and their mom...I love that game!
So it was an eventful weekend and the weather was gorgeous, so I'm not at all upset to start this week. I think that if you have a good weekend the rest of the week goes along smoothly. Well that I'm hoping.
I hope everyone had a great weekend also, and this week you are blessed by God!
Have a good Monday!!
